I'm not sure it will lead to better attendance. How many people will take Friday off work to go see a game? I worry that the attendance may be lower than a Saturday afternoon game and IU already struggles with attendance. Yes it will lead to better exposure on TV but showing half full stadiums may not add much. I just worry that it's a slippery slope when it comes to money.
