I saw in the Star that we've re-upped with adidas for a hefty sum of cash. Hutch, any feel for what others were in the running, or was it adidas all the way? Did it come down to adidas and someone else?

Great first part from 5-part series on AT. Now that we've got Hutch and Co. On board, looking forward to original content like this here. Awesome stuff. http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20150817/SPORTS/150819787/1002 -

Wow. Chillax a little bit. That was nothing more than a throwaway time frame. Next week, next month, next year, whenever he's got time, is A-OK!

Understand - we'll look for something next week on this stuff. Good luck on wrapping up the book.

Clapton would have to be one of mine - Cream, Yardbirds, his solo stuff - the best quantity and quality combination in my opinion. -

Since it's the end of the week, looking forward to/hoping Hutch has got some answers on your questions Stuhoo. Kind of like our own version of ITLR!

Is Purdue planning on playing both bigs together regularly? they never did last year. with Layman, 40% of his shots are 3s
-
I'm not so sure it doesn't end up being Hayes.

Fair enough...I'd still go with Johnson simply for defensive matchup reasons.

I'll say this - anyone who thinks CTC is going to start Holt over Johnson hasn't paid a whole lot of attention to how CTC plays. He plays guards. Johnson will start.

Best atmospheres at an IU Football game
HereWeGoAgain replied to HereWeGoAgain's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I'll say this - for younger IU fans, I hope they get to experience the 1987 atmosphere or the 1967 atmosphere (so I've been told) at least once in their fandom. It's different. -
I'm dating myself, but nothing can compare in my history to the 1987 game against Michigan in Memorial Stadium. The weather, Bo Schembechler, Bo's post-game quote, the losing streak...nothing comes even close for me. I was at Purdue game for Starr's FG and even that wasn't anywhere near what I felt in '87. That was a game to honor Hep and get to a lower tier bowl game. In 1987, it was about competing for a Big Ten title and being a legitimate top-15 team. Anyone else have one that stands out?

To borrow from Peyton Manning some eight years ago, "I just thought about [posting on the board] and a little pee came out." In all seriousness, glad to see Hutch here and looking forward to him voicing his opinion on the site. There are too many watered down writers out there who are afraid to take a stand on an issue, and I'm glad that won't be his approach.

If I offended, I certainly apologize - that wasn't my intent. One of the great things about these boards is the opportunity to talk to those who cover the team closely, people like Hutch. Hopefully he's okay fielding questions on occasion, and taking a little good-natured ribbing (that was my intent with the conflict of interest comment - I realize journalism ethics aren't what they used to be).
