Probably not.   I'm pretty sure there are rules where we can't give him a scholarship this year because PSU is in our conference.   If he would walk on, that's a different story, but that very rarely happens.

Hearing it's one of two players, both who are / were committed to other schools.

UAB running back Jordan Howard, a 1500 yard rusher, and Marqui Hawkins, a wideout that originally committed to Florida out of high school, are gonna be here this weekend.   Both, in my eyes, would be good pickups.

I think it's pretty clear that he's our #1 for a  QB this cycle.   Look for us to take a JUCO and a high school kid to even out the classes.

Well, gun to gun to the head prediction was wrong. He committed to Marshall. It's strange because he was suppose to be taking a official to IU sometime soon. Committing before the visit has a lot of people surprised, but that's recruiting.

He has grade issues so its not a slam dunk he qualifies. We know that and so does Wisconsin.

Knight is visiting Purdue, again, this weekend.

No doubt that our receivers are gonna get better next year with Westbrook and Thornton on board.

Everything I've heard is that he's solid to IU.  Just took a trip to take a trip.     If it were a official, then I'd be concerned, but it wasn't.     I'm pretty sure that Brandon Knight was there as well.

There were rumblings that he tried to commit to us over the summer.  We all know that CKW doesn't like early commits.     Doesn't surprise me one bit that he committed early.

I've heard that we might actually be taking two quarterbacks in the class.  I've heard that they like the Hale kid from Largo, Florida at quarterback who is coming in for a official with his teammate, Jonathan Crawford.  I really haven't heard any other names besides the Smith kid, but I do know that they are exploring the JUCO ranks, ala Cam Coffman.  Smith is a interesting option, however, you've got to wonder about his past and if he's straightened up.   I'm pretty sure we'll take at least one other offensive lineman, with it being someone that can play the tackle spot.  I also think we could see up to two more wideouts.     At running back, I think it's Devonte Williams right now.  I'm sure other players can creep up, the Texas kid (Belmus (sp?) I believe is someone to keep an eye out for, and if that happens, he's got a brother that's a safety that is committed to Maryland that has said, he wants to play with his brother if given the oppurtunity).  Gun to my head though is Williams is the man at running back.  Chestnut is 50/50 right now.  If he's not a early qualifier, then I don't see how they bring him in then.   On defense, we're after a linebacker or two (anyone see the retweet from Brandon Knight on the kid from Mississippi?  Could be interesting).  In the secondary, I think they still have hopes for the Williams kid out of Indy, but I highly doubt he chooses us.  If not, they'll look at Chuck Davis again or go down in Florida.  I've heard rumblings about the Holland kid that committed to Penn State taking a visit to us.  If we get Williams, then that could really help us out.     Year after year, we get on kids latte so I'm sure half of what I just said is wrong, but right now, that's what I'm hearing.

His coach is Andre Kates, the corner that played for us a couple years ago.   Hopefully he puts in a good word for us.

  Now hearing that he has moved up the board for us.  This one could go either way.

As of right now, I don't think IU would take him.   They already have Westbrook and Thornton on board.  From everything I've heard, they want one more, with that being Isaac James.  For now, it's Isaac James or bust.

The staff is in a wait and see approach.   If he doesn't graduate in December, forget about it.  They more then likely won't take him then.

  He hasn't spoken with coach Wilson about it yet.  On his visit, he told a few of the coaches that he wanted to commit, but to do that, you have to do it with CKW, which he never did.  He says he'll be here for the first game of the year, so we'll see if something happens then.

There's always a chance, but if you put 2 and 2 together, he's all Kentucky. He's visited them numerous times this year while the last time he was in Bloomington was for the Minnesota game last year.
