Romeo was getting bullied all game and had maybe 2 fouls called for him. I had zero faith the refs would make any sort of right call. We can’t act like Archie drew it up for Juwan to slip and fall on the baseline.

I think the ACC has the best brand of basketball by far. Coincidentally, they consistently have the most top teams and top 25 teams. Can’t be a correlation there at all. We always wonder why the BIG lacks in talent. I mean, even one of our main recruiting targets loves us but hates our conference because it’s tackle basketball. If that’s not alarming, idk what is.

The difference to me with Juwan and Edwards was Juwan got wide open shots from 3 and had point blank misses at the rim. We played brutal D on Edwards. He had a hand in his grill all night. Al and Rob did fantastic on him. I can’t say the same for the guys guarding Juwan

He shot .3% better. So he was able to shoot better from 3, even as slight as it is, on slightly more attempts, but worse from the line and 2 and that’s on Archie? Come on

How about Juwan making the missed dunk? How about Juwan not slipping on that last play? How about any of our wide open 3 pointers going in? How about Juwan making more than 40% of his free throws? Or How about Juwan boxing out against Haarms? See, it’s not that simple

Which tells me it isn’t on Archie or his message. It’s on the players actually deciding they want to show up. Effort is in your heart/mind as a player. It takes your own internal motivation. A coach can scream at you and get on you as much as he wants, but you have to be the one that decides to give effort.

I’m sorry but this isn’t possible. A coach doesn’t make anyone a bad shooter. If you’re a shooter, you’re a shooter. They put in countless hours in practice and on their own in cook hall. Archie isn’t doing anything to make them bad shooters. We just don’t have a single elite, or even good, shooter on our team

Guys just think how many balls rolled in and out tonight? How many close shots did Juwan, Justin, and Romeo miss tonight? Legit point blank misses. How many WIDE open 3 pointers did we miss? Archie can’t put the ball in the basket for these guys. We did everything else fine, besides some lazy passes which at this point, is on the players. They are who they are.

It hurts really bad tonight. Overall though, I’m pleased. We put in the effort and our guys were locked in all night. We legit are just an absolutely terrible offensive team. We all love to rag on Archie for the offense, me included, but im really not sure what you can do a this point when we can’t hit from the outside to save our lives. I’m proud of our effort. Shows me Archie hasn’t totally lost these guys. Need to hit the recruiting trail for shooters the rest of this season and all of the off season
