Have to get this one to start feeling really good about getting in line for a 7/8 seed by the end of the regular season.

Even though a big lead was built and subsequently erased against Nebraska, it was encouraging to see them get that lead in the first place. They also got up double-digits against Purdue and UCLA on the road. Now the next step in their growth is sustaining those leads. I must admit, I was very low on the team’s tournament chances after that losing streak. For them to respond how they have takes gusto, so the coaches and players deserve a lot of credit. Now I am in the camp that says their best basketball is still ahead of them this season. Hopefully we get a couple big time games for Wilkerson, Dorn, and Devries all at the same time. I’m patiently waiting for that to happen - hopefully against Illinois, Purdue and/or Michigan State.

I had said he would be lucky to get three years. I’m going to be wrong, which is good. Go IU!

I just don’t see it. Maybe it’s because the roster is so poorly constructed, but that’s on coach. I could see him get next year and that’s it.

To lose at home to a coach who was in the same coaching cycle does not breed a ton of confidence in the future.
