Have you or anyone heard what his plan was for next year? What I mean is, has he said publicly that he planned to leave after seasons end? Well, it’s a huge win. IU went on the road and beat a good team. We got positive contributions from virtually everyone on the team. I was obviously upset about the final 2 minutes…I was numb for the shot. It was a huge shot and I was indifferent. That said, let me say this, I’m disappointed in myself. The guys played their hind parts off tonight. I look back now, at what they had to overcome in this one, and I’m amazed a win was possible. They were up big and playing like champions at one point without two of their best players. OG goes down and we INCREASED THE LEAD. The foul situation? Really? Criminal. James Blackmon, when his team needed him the most, flew down court without hesitation and drained that sucker. He wanted that ball and he knew it would go. That’s a player. I’m proud of this team and the way they fought through everything that went wrong tonight. Yeah, the last 2 minutes sucked but, it doesn’t matter now. Losing OG for an extended period (should that happen) will be very bad in a number of areas. He’s a defender, he rebounds with passion, and those OG plays around the rim, ignite the team and crowd. A strength was depth, now not so much. Heck, I’m not a doctor or a soothsayer. Maybe it’s not as bad as what people think. Crean said the kid was crying in the locker room….so sad for him if it’s bad. I say ignore those final minutes and enjoy this win, because it was really well played under the circumstances.
