I can't find online if they vote on entire season or just conference play and that would effect my opinion so I guess I can't give my opinion if I am not sure what I am taking about lol

they got there early in the season. If IU had been where MSU was and then crap canned our shot at the big ten I would be calling for Creans head not coach of the year lol.

that is fair. I may be biased also because I hate Izzo and michigan st but am also not a crean fan. I was just giving my opinion on this subject as of today. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong. Lot of work left to do by all coaches who are in the running

I totally understand i was just pointing out my situation. I don't have any family from out of the area but I am sure a visit would create a issue. Same as weddings and funerals and other important out of your control scenarios

I will argue the more adversity part but we will see how iu finishes because tonight crean is facing more adversity than Izzo has all season at least that I am aware of. I get your point on rewarding crean for underachieving but look at the turn around for conference play.

makes alot more sense. I am more interested in how conference play has been. When they vote that is what they go by right? If not why not wait till after ncaa tourney?

Maybe pre season but before big ten play i am sure msu, Maryland, and purdue were surely ahead of iu. I don't have stats but I am confident after maui duke and jbj went down not very many experts were high on the Hoosiers or our awesome defense

yes valentine was out but a great coach would have taken the 1 team in the counrty and found a way to win imo. Agree with the crean angle though. Yes I know Izzo is a great coach but don't think he deserves coach of the year at this point

To say it should be Izzo at this point is laughable. All 5 losses have occurred in big ten play and at one point were they not number 1 in the counrty? It is between gard fran and crean but I think Crean has to win the big outright to get it same with fran. Gard probably will get it just my guess

I must be doing something right cause my wife either asks me when iu plays next or checks the schedule herself before making plans for me. In preseason after maui much to her surprise I said we could go Christmas shopping but I still drank beer and listened to most of the game in the car lol

Well this game is ever so important. No rob so hope we can overcome that. Already nervous so that tells me how big this one is

I am not at all. He will be fine at filling his role. Don't turn the ball over play hard and just be smart and I think he can do those things well. Hope I am right. In other words don't try to replace rob just play his game and we will be ok

if we lose two out of next three and have our usual tourney experience he should be fired. If we win two of next three then it is debatable. If he wins the next three then we have to keep him. Just pointing out it is way to early to say anything lot of work left to be done to meet the expectations glass has said he wanted.

sure seams crean has went out of his way to start certain lame duck players when clearly they should have been sitting. This is a argument that can never be proven so no use getting to wrapped up in it i guess.

I have been reading the comments and it is interesting situation right now. Just remember there is a big difference between winning the big ten and almost winning it. I am content to let the rest of this season play out before evaluating it much further.

Crean just said on radio it is a sprained ankle and there is no timetable for recovery. Just have to monitor it and give him time to heal
