Think about it this way. In year 1 at a football school he is closing in on winning the Big Ten when he had 0 expectations this year. He has already laid a foundation for success. He is contemplating leaving after winning a Big Ten title and coming home to a blender of a situation where he is now the most scrutinized employee in the state of Indiana with a fan base starving for success. If it doesnt work out immediately people will be calling for his head in no time.

I agree with you however i think the decision for him will be harder this year. He has established relationships, recruited, and may win the conference championship in his first year at a program that frankly right now is better than Indiana. IU royally f’d up not getting him last year.

As a guy that watches ACC basketball Clemson is on the short list of teams that I don’t want to play. Brownell is doing pretty good at a shithole program like Clemson. However, I agree with most it’s just not the hire that needs to be made.
