COLLEGE STATION, Texas – For the first time since the 2014 season, the Hoosiers earned All-America honors in the men's distance medley relay (DMR). Daniel Kuhn also earned a spot in the finals of the 800m run. The men's DMR team consisting of Joe Murphy, Markevious Roach, Daniel Kuhn and Kyle Mau finished in fifth to take home All-America accolades. Murphy started the race, running the 1,200m leg in 2:58.08. He handed to Roach in fourth place. Roach was responsible for the 400m leg, he blazed around the track twice with a time of 46.66, the second quickest split in the field. Kuhn was next to carry, completing his 800m leg in 1:47.76, the fastest split in the race. Mau split his final carry in 4:01.67 to secure fifth place. The DMR team becomes the sixth Indiana team to finish inside the top eight since the 2009 season. Earlier in the evening, Kuhn advanced to the finals of the men's 800m run. The junior ran sixth for most of the race but used a massive kick in the final 40 meters to claim the third and final automatic qualifying bid.
