Saw Jack Endries from Cal is into the portal, really good player. had nearly 60 receptions and 600 yards at Cal last year, think he’d want to follow his old QB to Bloomington?

I think you can be flexible, but I’d probably ideally look for an athletic 4/5 hybrid who’s in the 6’8 - 6’10 range and can play around the rim and help us defensively.

This feels like the first recruit DeVries directly went up against the big boys for and we won… entire board and take a sigh of relief and relax now.

I had a main concern with Conerway, he’s not a great athlete by Big Ten standards and seems to be at his best attacking downhill. I think that’s fine and can work in college, but you HAVE to surround him with shooters. DeVries is gonna be a shooter, Reed can shoot but that’s not his main game, we needed another elite floor spacer out there. Wilkerson is that. Those two would really help open up the floor for Conerway which is something we’ve been terrible at under both Archie and Woody, opening up the floor.

I haven’t heard 2/3, where’s that from? 3 seems especially odd since DeVries is only 50, is that a joke I’m not catching on to?

All I know is Wilkerson was projected to Indiana by Trilly, Nakos projected him to Indiana in an article yesterday, and Rabjohns said he won’t commit until he visits after the dead period.

Maybe, but they’re both floor spacing guards. Wilkerson has more size, Pack can handle the ball a bit more.

Im thinking Pack was a fallback option for us if we missed out on Wilkerson

Little iffy on this one? Really inefficient though the pure volume numbers are good. Not great size either at 6’1. Maybe as a backup point guard or depth piece he could add something, but I’d expect him to be behind Enright firmly.

I dunno man, maybe it’s just me, but a few days ago we had a lot of people panicking on whether DeVries could recruit and whether we can field a semi competitive team. Between Tucker DeVries, Reed Bailey, and, if rumors are true, Lamar Wilkerson, that’s A LOT of scoring right there. three guys who’ve essentially averaged 20 PPG at one point in their careers. You’re really only looking for supplemental pieces at that point, I think we could use an athletic 4/5 hybrid with decent size who can help us on defense, and I don’t think you can ever have enough shooters. Really, really tired of the Woodson/Archie days of constantly not having any floor spacing and watching opposing defenses just pack the paint on us. Would love Goode back if possible solely for that reason.

No but feels similar to Reed Bailey, basically the same sources confirming Bailey have confirmed Wilkerson. Bailey officially popped the day after.

Pretty solid, but look at where Florida’s guys rank in the transfer portal. Theres A TON of talent moving in the portal every year, gotta scout the guys that fit your system well.

I feel like a lot of those burners just start posting things once rumors are swirling, wouldn’t look too much into it.

Just a random example, I like to think Juwan Morgan was a pretty good player here at IU including a multi year NBA career, and yet that team never made it to a tournament when he was starting. Don’t exactly think it’s fair to say it was Morgan’s fault. Don’t see why it’s fair to hold Pack solely responsible. it is fair to see between DeVries, Pack, and Bailey, there are some serious defensive questions there if we add all of those guys. I don’t know enough about Enright to say, or DeVries even for that matter, but there are legitimate concerns there.

Maybe it’s just me, but holding solely Pack responsible for overall team record when there are four other players on the court with him seems unfair. I don’t think anyone here is asking Pack to be the main driving force behind the team.
