Pretty sure you mean confirmation bias. You are correct about his Celtics job being better than the IU coaching job. However, that’s not really weighing into his calculus. Why am I so certain? Because that point is obvious to anyone that can stack rank the best jobs in hoops. BS has listened and until we get a firm no (which we haven’t yet) he’s still an option…the option.

Interesting Star article just dropped…two biggest takeaways…1) Parroting the talking point that this was Woodson’s decision to step down (absurd) 2) This paragraph…That date is not hard and fast in Dolson’s thinking. If he believes the right candidate requires IU to wait, he likely will. But the faster Indiana can move, the more time it will give its next coach to assemble a roster of his own liking with the maximum possible resources backing him. The right candidate to wait? Why bring this up at all? If it’s a current coach that’s going to justify whacking your coach midseason of course they’re going to have to wait. At least, most likely until mid/late March after their tourney run. Why write that paragraph at all? All current coaches are going to have roughly the same amount of time to assemble a roster. Unless…
