Welcome, Victor. Don't be shy, and you kinda supported my statement. LOL -

Lots of Newburgh/Castle representation on this board....that's awesome! It doesn't surprise me as there are a lot of IU fans and alumni in Newburgh from my travels in the tri-state area as a carpet cleaner years ago. -

There are some in Newburgh who do need the money. Not too many, but there are some. -

And don't forget about how much wine and how many cigars he will need for his group of buddies in the man cave later that night. -

I like these guys, and they preach patience. If you spend your wad early, you miss a lot of high level guys later on. -

This is from last night, and it gets into the type of players that CDD is looking for. They have a chip on their shoulder and want to prove that they are good enough to be at the power 4 level. -

Now I get this one which is a bit easier on the eyes, but I didn't know she turned down them down on the football field. Why not get her a fifth year somehow for WBB? -
Cancelling a visit to pUKe wouldn't bother me one bit.

I was thinking with his height since he could get those higher passes over the DBs. He can get in shape for the MBB. -

When he gets that extra year, he can play that WR slot and be that deep threat. I can dig it. -

It is amazing how far down the Orange have fallen, and I don't blame him for getting out of town. I can see him as the first big off the bench or a spot starter. -
He probably has the kind of relationship with Dolson where he can say stuff like that while Dolson already had that name on his list. Goodman comes off as arrogant like that while I bet the conversation was more of a shoot the sh_t on what is happening then anything else. You have to cut through the act with him to get the meat of what he is saying. I know a lot of people like that.

I was at VU 2 or 3 years after he Marion left, and they had a banner in the gym with him and a couple of others on it that they were in the NBA. The coach who was teaching our "walking" class bragged about him for the first 2 or 3 classes. -

I was asking about Brzovic since he was at a Division II school for a year, so why would he get a 5th without the graduate transfer part. I know that JuCo years don't count, but I didn't think that Div II would get the same treatment. -

Why would he get the extra year, because he was at Div II for a year? Do they still have the graduate transfer for that 5th year? -
The place they are doing their interviews looks to be a bar, and Goodman takes a swig of his beer while Gottlieb is talking. The whole talking over people is reason 20 of why I don't go to bars anymore. LOL

I was thinking they were taking online because of the travel of the team. I imagine that when they get to their Jr and Sr years, I would think most of the specialized stuff is in person I would think if they don't have many in the program or offer very many sections of the classes they need. I was thinking that he might have withdrew and then might be able to take one of his classes over the summer he withdrew from and retake them in the fall. I was just wondering.
-
Question, is he still taking classes at WVU in person, online, or just drops out knowing he is coming to IU soon? I would think it would be hard to be taking them on campus there because of everyone would be messing with him for him and his father leaving. It was something I was wondering about.

Mom is taking one for the team! LMAO

Darian DeVries - New IUBB Head Coach
jermhoosierfan replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Reminds me of the ending of the Gottlieb video in another thread. IU hasn't had the coaching, continuity, or the chemistry that is needed for success in the last several years. That looks to be his main goal which I say is very much needed. -
I have listened to Gottlieb on the radio for several years, and there are a couple of times that I think he is wrong, but more often than not, I pretty much agree with him. The kids don't care about who is and who is not royalty in CBB because now, they just want that check more often than not. How much will you pay me, and how often will I be on TV to get to the league are the major questions. IU has checked all the boxes in money, tradition, and facilities, but the overall coaching has been the main obstacle for a while which also includes continuity and chemistry. The fan base hasn't been the problem. The admin sticking their fingers where it doesn't belong and the decisions along with selections at that positions have been the problem. Also, I don't mind Goodman, but he does love to hear himself talk. Let the dude talk, geez.

It takes some time to get all that sanitizer to work that get that mediocre-ness out of that office. We don't need that stuff around.
