Would losing out do the trick? I have serious doubts we win another game. Rutgers becoming bowl eligible on our home field on homecoming this Saturday is going to be a real kick in the dick.

This stuff needs to wrap up lol it has been very difficult to focus on work recently -
We are so inept it feels like it’s intentional at times

Honestly, if you can't figure out how to get rid of him after this year you are just shouting to the entire world of collegiate athletics that you don't give a **** about football and in the current landscape I think that is a terrible thing

I don't think there's any reason to freak out until actual concrete info is given to make people freak out. However, Monday was a total tease lol made it seem like it was about to pop haha. -

Peegs is melting down lol. Would be really disappointing to lose this one however I don't think there is anything else IU could have possibly done better. I think we get him but it's not on the staff if we don't. -
At this rate he is setting the program back so far (he's not alone the admin sucks when it comes to football) that whoever the next guy is will need years to get it to even a point of being healthy

They Fired Walt Bell
IU_FanClub replied to IUFootballHappyHappyJoyJoy's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Gotta be honest Walt Bell comes off as one of the dumber coaches I can ever remember one of my teams having -
Is there any possible way he gets fired this year? Feels like one of those situations where we are going to have a dead man walking as our coach going into next season due to the money. Everyone knows he's done here just seems like a matter of when he gets fired and how cheap we can do it for unfortunately.

To add to this, extending him when we did made sense it just sucks that it isn't working out

My thought process with Tom is complicated. On one hand, I don't care how bad we are historically it is unacceptable to play the way we have the last 2 seasons and for the majority of his tenure outside of 2 seasons. If you can't at the very least go to a bowl game every other year you need to go. On the other hand, I don't hate the idea of keeping him around until the buyout goes down and while we wait continue to invest in the program to make it more desirable when we do have an opening. Really all I want is to win 6 games every year and I will root like hell for it. I think it's probably too naive of me to think that we will actually make major investments into the program but I just want the program to not be a laughingstock it is embarrasing.

Game Thread: IUFB vs. Indiana State | 9/8 @ 7:00 on BTN
IU_FanClub replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Was pleasantly surprised by the defense Saturday especially given how pathetic the secondary was last season. Was very disappointed in the offense. Main thing I want to see Friday is us throwing the ball a ton and then choosing 1 QB from then on. -

All I ask for in this game is to make it interesting for a half. I'm not expecting a win (lol) but it would be nice to just show some fight on the 3:30 CBS game and give us a bit of optimism going into the remaining 11 games. That being said I drove into Hammond from Chicago yesterday to stock up on the Hoosier Gameday Lager so once I have a few of those I'll probably trick myself into thinking we can win lol -

2023 SF/PF Mackenzie Mgbako to Texas A&M via Portal
IU_FanClub replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Sorry if this has already been talked about been awhile since I've been on here but I am really confused with all the national media talk of our frontcourt overlapping. They're basically saying Mgbako and Malik are the same player and I do not see it whatsoever. Maybe Mack's lateral quickness won't be all the way where it needs to be defensively but from all the video I've seen he looks more than comfortable playing offense on the wing whereas Malik is a down low guy. Plus with Ware's shooting ability I really don't see where the "clogged paint" is coming from other than these guys just being lazy in their coverage. Obviously that is not to say we have a perfect team in fact I would be shocked if we did not experience growing pains during the season but our roster is way better than it is getting credit for IMO. -
Totally agree! Still feel like going to a road gym somewhere is slightly different even if the neutral site isn't in a favorable location
-
I would like us to add a true road game to the non conference even if it's not against a big time team. It's not the end of the world if we don't since we're playing 3 quality neutral games but I do think it would help to go into a hostile environment at least once before conference play.
-
Yeah and we wouldn't have to go play in the library that is Bryce Jordan. I swear that terrible environment causes so many weird games to happen lol
