Are you privy to some more details than before when it comes to the backchanneling? -

Did Trilly comment that if it was an NBA guy he wouldn’t hear about it, or was that what you took from his message? Is Trilly entertaining the thought of Brad? I feel like that could be very telling if he’s at least talking about it as such a plugged in person. -

Is this offer one that would only be extended to one candidate, with anyone else likely getting a few million less? also, at this stage do you feel more or less confident than last search? -

Oh I know it! I was just taking any chance I get to whine about that phrase because of how many times I’ve read “IU is out of this one. I’m not guessing.” :( on another note I’m glad to hear you’re locking in already and we’ve got some flight data and back channeling you’re hearing! I look forward to the next few months and hopefully some celebratory IPAs when we shock the world -

“I’m not guessing” is the my least favorite Rabby-ism. Used almost exclusively when we are about to lose a recruit that he had been previously clickbaiting as a high likelihood of coming to IU. -

I think the rebounding emphasis might be the most important part of tonight’s game. They’re gonna run and get shots up. If they are getting multiple chances and clean kick outs for open threes we’re dead. i liked how we looked rebounding the last two games though. I think a focus has been put on it lately and I think we pull this one out. -

One of my Illinois buddies texted me last game at halftime “what the f*** is wrong with Indiana”. Based on the Luke Goode timeout in the Bahamas I have to imagine he is also thinking “what the f*** is wrong with you guys” All this to say, I think TJD covered it up, Ware made it look questionable, but this year the veil is gone and we just look terrible with a team full of All-Conference caliber players. Sad. -

I can vouch as one of those who typically tunes in for every game and is normally heavily invested, but this season I have passively watch a few games in the background and checked box scores afterwards to see who played well. I just don’t want to invest any energy or my mood for the night because it feels like even when we win, we don’t look like a good basketball team and that just bums me out. I’ve tried to squint for the past few years to convince myself we might be a good team but watching one game with this team it just feels obvious it’s a system problem, and it doesn’t really matter what pieces we get. -
(2025) - PG Jalen Haralson to Notre Dame
JimmerNoe replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
All I can say for certain is that whichever way today goes, the narrative will swing wildly in that direction: If we land him, we have finally taken our place amongst the elite and our NIL will get us anyone we want for the foreseeable future. If we don’t, our staff can’t close even with unlimited money and Mullins will no doubt see us as a sinking ship and run to UCONN as fast as he can. this is the only predictable outcome in HS recruiting -

Just want to clarify, is this the official rumor coming from insiders or is this just speculating from our esteemed board members? because it feels like this is big news to say casually that NIL agents leaked he’s coming to IU already! Lol -

A fellow Clarksville General in the BTB house? Fight on you mighty generals -
Played for Langdon’s dad, Steve Hatton. Clarksville legend who played at Transy. Also coached Langdon and his sister Lilly (who plays at Wofford) in Little General ball two years straight. Will see if I can get a little info on this one. Dads whole family are huge UK fans FWIW.

Without a doubt. Putting him on a team with a few dynamic guards makes you a contender imo. I mean that’s exactly what Miami did with him, but now he is probably even better and can pick which guards he wants to play with. Doesn’t need a single play ran for him ever and will still impact every trip down the court.

Norchad Omier. Will never forget how strong he looked pushing TJD around. I remember we couldn’t grab a board to save our lives down there. Don’t know what he is listed at but looks like 6’5. All Charles Barkley team.

Just a hypothetical question since he is off the board, but for what this team needs would you rather have Hickman or Goode for the plug-in shooter role? i don’t think there was ever more than 15 minutes available when you look at the guards we prioritized, but which do you feel is the better player in this spot? -

It had a typo. Assembly Call corrected him and he responded that he didn’t notice in time, so I think he just took it down because it didn’t make sense as typed. -

Rabby doing his “in case you missed it” tweet for Hickman’s visit with the added ominous “…” that he was using as a wink before Bryson Tucker committed. Wonder if the staff feels confident with him after that talk. -

The beautiful thing about extreme narcissism is the even if NGW turns out to be completely and totally wrong, it will actually be because the rest of us idiots didn’t actually understand what he was explaining in the first place. These people can be a train wreck and it is so draining to deal with. Glad he’s no longer gracing these halls with his presence. -

I’ve tried being positive the last week since the news broke he’d be back. But this is inexcusable. No amount of injuries accounts for getting blown out by bottom feeders 5+ times in a year. Fire him. Don’t let Dusty get away. Please. -
Are you feeling like they will at least be considered on the bubble now if they are able to make it to Sunday? I agree that right now they just don’t have the resume but have to believe Nebraska and Illinois on neutral court would be considered significant wins compared to other bubble teams. 4-5 quad one wins, no “bad” losses, and 21 wins feels like it should be enough for the blind resume test at least.

I think next step in his development in just awareness. If he just makes the right decision on his post catches and can stay on the floor he’s a first or second team all big ten next year. He’s gotta be leaving 5 points and a handful of assists on the court right now. No one in the Big Ten is touching his footwork and post moves.
