Don’t you think it is suggestive or odd that @JerryYeagley23 hasn’t dropped in just to say ‘Wake up’ or ‘Better shut this thread down until 2025.’ There’s only silence coming out of the places you’d expect assurance and nonsense and goonishness from the staff. Makes me wonder.

Unfortunately he’s become so unlikeable for me that I have a difficult time enjoying the team’s success. Were he to display some humility and tact the recent win-streak would be much sweeter. His snarky condescension makes it much harder to give him credit for any improvement or benefit of the doubt in earlier shortcomings. It’s so much easier to say he’s beating crap teams because he comes across so arrogantly.

Outside of two posters on this site I haven’t conversed with anyone (online or in person) who wants CMW to return. It’s anecdotal but it’s my experience in southern Indiana.

Yes. A fan can want one loss today so that there may be hundreds of wins later. Sometimes good things need to be pruned back for greater growth in the future… and imho this was far from good. The thing is I’m not calling you less of a fan even though I think you’re being short-sited.

Congratulations. This is officially the dumbest take. Of course everyone has a right to feel how they feel. Fine. But it’s condescending to suggest YOU (through omniscience, I guess) seem to know what a real fan is and isn’t. This is why (imho) the good takes you have from time to time get overlooked or dismissed. I don’t remember a vote where we determined who was and wasn’t in the minority perspective. Perhaps, the vote was for real fans only. Exactly what is an over the top fan since you seem to know? THAT is creating your own story to fit your own thoughts. You’re right, tho. You do have a right to disagree. So do the players and coaches. But to claim you know who’s a real fan? Not so much. And to give the players hundreds of thousands of dollars or the coach millions and millions of dollars only to suggest THEY know who’s a real fan and who’s not is trash.

MAYBE when CMW says he’ll be back next year he really means as the kindly old grandfather emeritus, and when Galloway says he’s playing for the best coach in the world he means Bruce FREAKIN’ Pearl!!!!

If they’d played hard all year the heat would have never been turned up. Credit where it’s due, they didn’t completely fold. So, kudos. But has the university prioritized short term “success” over long-term glory? Absolutely. Didnt know that hanging number six hadn’t nothing to do with a banner and was actually best case scenario for where we’d place in a crappy B1G. I guess if I want to watch championship caliber play from my Hoosiers I’ll need a VHS player.
