It could be a sign of a bigger problem or just one of those stretches most teams go through. The only bad result there is the Minny one and it was on the road. The only loss by more than a couple points the whole season was last night. By comparison Illinois is 1-3 in their last 4. I am also not that high on their roster. At the beginning of the season I would’ve said rolling out a competitive squad in the B1G and making the tourney would have been a pretty good year 1 for May. That’s subjective though.

I wouldn’t bet my mortgage on it. With that said, I don’t root against IU because I’m a believer in the zen master and the law of unintended consequences. Also, an administration that needs booed into action isn’t one that will be good at hirer a new coach anyways. Basically it is as irrational as it is rational to root against IU, so I just watch with increased apathy.

I think this is correct. I made many posts in the offseason about how the minutes don’t work out and Woody would have to get really creative with his lineups to squeeze out 20+ minutes of small ball. Woody just doesn’t know what he’s doing and the lip service given to going small was an obvious lie the minute they paid top dollar for Ballo and kept Reneau.
