  1. They can’t make them is the problem. And they tend to take some dumb shots. Very frustrating
  2. Gave up several points before that, tho. Need Geronimo Galloway or bates on him.
  3. Stewart on their best player is suicide.
  4. 8 more attempts and one fg to show is awful
  5. We have to play a bigger guy on maldanado and not help off shooters. He’snot beating guys off the dribble
  6. Bricks. Unreal…guys came out tight and now are nervous
  7. This is awful. No reason Race can’t guard ike for a while. Waste of 5min of game time. The type of stuff that comes back to bite you.
  8. Terrible call but Galloway needs to learn how to stick his feet
  9. They’re pressing a little. Hopefully they settle down. Problem is Kopp and Stewart are playing bad again so we have little shooting out there unless XJ can hit ‘em.
  10. Yea, we look faster. Need to execute, though.
  11. Brutal, and I’m on CST. You’d think that having their largest fanbase not half asleep when the game kicks off would be beneficial, but I guess not.
  12. If it’s not 90’s era Baden, it ain’t basketball!
  13. Who are these idiots on my TV screen??? A Purdue Person (typo, was supposed to be poor man’s but I’m leaving it as is) vitale wannabe?? Back to mute and music back on.
  14. I think that’s a good wrinkle. But having no point guard doesn’t necessarily mean bad with the basketball. I have liked a lot of our press looks this year. Even if it is a softer press meant to not give them a free run up the court.
  15. Liki Tiki would be a good spot to stop for some peel n eat shrimp , a cocktail and to watch some games.

    College Bball Thread

He strikes me as a guy who can come in and have success but wears out his welcome pretty quickly.

2022 NCAA Tournament / Bracket Reveal

They have the advantage of having a much easier time winning an auto-berth tho. They’ll play 2-3 games in which they are heavily favored and then a championship game with pretty close to 50/50 odds (if they were a true bubble team, ie ranked about ~40 in kenpom). IU played 3 straight, and would’ve been 4, where they were small to decent underdogs. Very tough for us to do anything but rack up a few good wins.
  18. Ridiculous. But if there’s one area where Woodys nba experience can help it woyld be navigating scenarios like this. I trust he has a good idea on what to do and not to do on long travel, short rest situations.

    Bracketology and Team Resumes

They’re student athletes. This is all about education. The NCAA is just setting them up for that first software consulting job out of college(that’s really glorified sales) where they fly 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year and blow most of their 80k starting salary on an apartment in a high CoL city that they’re never in. When you think about it that way, the NCAA is really providing these kids with a tremendous opportunity that other more financially motivated scholastic institutions wouldn’t be magnanimous enough to even consider.

There are even metrics for the guess who guess the committee’s actions. Amazing. It’s just metrics all the way down. They beat Duke. The committee wasn’t even mad. Just impressed and threw them right in.

    Bracketology and Team Resumes

That’s wild. I can defend conf regular season record as a metric, at least partially. But picking random loss streaks seems exceedingly dumb, even for the NCAA.
  22. I don’t doubt the analysis, but I’m trying to think of tourney type teams we won comfortably against. ND comes to mind. We tend to make everything a slog, which isn’t all that uncommon for teams who primarily rely of defense.
