you misunderstood me. We’ve been blowing by (the lesser athletes of) Merrimac not vice versa.

I’ve watched the whole game. The only thing different is that we’re playing a low D1 team with lesser athletes that they’ve blown by for a free buckets that won’t be there against B1G level teams. I’m surprised some are so impressed by it. Only difference from Weds is the opponent and team. We’re at about 14 turnovers (per the interwebs) with 5min to go. Against Merrimac. A team from the NEC that plays a 2-3 zone.

We must be. The one I’m watching had them both on the floor where they committed back to back turnovers between the pair of them. One on a lazy drive where X didn’t stick his feet and another on lazy simple entry pass to the high post by Phin. We’re playing Merrimac. Those HS-level mistakes turn into the long string of errors against better teams that we continually see from those two. I personally would like to see better (ie smarter) play out of those two. I don’t really care if they rack up a few buckets against scrub teams.

Our point guard position is a mess. No idea why you’d even have X and phin on at the same time. I’d typically have neither on the floor if I could.

Yea, I was surprised to see them ranked in the 250ish range on Kenpom. Figured they be closer to 350. We should win easily, but not the worst opponent in the world.

It’s sad but this actually makes me feel better.

That’s the part that makes me disappointed with Woodson and the staff. I can stomach a bad half. It happens, especially on the road. But you want to go down running your stuff looking for good shots. That was way too reminiscent of the DavisCreanArchie years.

We’ve been through a few of these coaching changes since Knight. I’m willing to give a few games here and there. No more than a couple per season. Its just disappointing for this game to be the one. We looked bad . In some ways that half just encapsulates what we’ve been for the last two decades: a dumb, undisciplined, low iq, avg basketball team. Two ******* decades. It’s sad.

Then call a time out and get your guys together. One bad call is meaningless. I like woody but he has to get out of his nba mentality. Each game matters. Runs matter. You can’t wait until the 4th quarter every time. That was a disgusting half.

I think one of fans’ biggest misnomers is that playing time somehow equals development. Players develop in the off season and in practice. Playing guys at the end of the beach minutes they don’t deserve won’t develop them any faster.

We’ll have to play better than today to win at the Khol Center. But if you’re going to play lackluster, it’s better to do it against poorer teams like Nebraska. Tied for 1st in the B1G, baby!!!
