I would never, ever, allow myself to get into a situation where the police would be called over an argument at a fast food establishment. NEVER. EVER. Not at 18, not at 28, not even 78. Not sober, not high nor drunk. I must be built differently.
MM had several outs to walk away from this situation unscathed. He chose jail. Sad. Hopefully it's a learning experience all the way around.

Leal is building a brand in Bloomington as a real estate agent. Being on the team is a no-brainer for him regardless of whether or not he plays.
He's also a great guy to have at the end of the bench. Win-win

Then took family of 4 to witness IU beat Kent State. IU beat Oklahoma in the semi. Lost to Maryland in the final. What a run! This time, IU wins the final. It's inevitable.
And they beat Kelvin Sampson (at Oklahoma) which we might get another shot at with Houston.

Yeah, JHS's shots just weren't falling. His normal midrange game should have eaten that zone alive last night.

God, the IU boards are funny. What a bitter, has-been group of people. I have literally never talked to a soul who has been to the fake Assembly Hall and to State Farm Center and preferred Bloomington ... weird, outdated arena with no good seats and what "character" it has is mostly forced down our throats by old TV announcers who were in their prime when Indiana was actually good. Additionally, the crapping on Champaign as a city is hilarious ... Bloomington is a tiny, boring town with a small stretch of nice campus running through it. Champaign, for good and bad, is an actual metro area with legitimate dining and bar options, both in Campustown, Downtown and even Urbana. As someone who went to IU and now lives 45 minutes from Champaign... this take is honestly laughable.
1) Champaign has a few good restaurants but it's nothing special
2) The State Farm Center is honestly the worst basketball arena I've ever been inside. My Purdue grad wife agrees.

I think he knew but just couldn't do it. You could tell me was mad at himself right away.

Always possible someone has a Keita Bates-Diop put-of-nowhere year, but if the first two come back, player of the year has two heavy favorites.
Outside chances: Nigel Pack, if he transfers into conference, Malik Hall or Max Christie if they take a leap…not seeing tons of other candidates.

The fact that it's a nice round number makes me believe it may be an estimate and not a radar. But who knows (which is kind of the point)

It’s a dumb kid doing a dumb thing. And yes even if he’s 22 (don’t know how old he is) he’s still still a kid figuring things out.
At UNC I saw a basketball literally slap a woman in open public and I got in trouble for yelling at that kid. Perspective people. In the course of this chess game we call life, sometimes we shine and sometimes we mess up. He messed up. But if Woodson believes in the family mantra then you don’t kick someone out for something like this. You discipline and hopefully he grows.
No one is perfect and if you think you are….. well you probably haven’t lived or you don’t have anyone in your life to stand up to you and call you out.
I'm convinced that the older we get, the easier it is to judge the decisions of young men and women. Maybe it's because we forgot what we did at that age?
