General Coach Candidate News

Kinda random question @Chris007. I've been lurking this season but logged in for the first time in forever today. You had some post around the Sam Story talk about what the "HC guys" were saying. What does that stand for? Hoosiers Connect? Was bothering me more than it should that I couldn't figure it out at the time -

A reason I've kinda thought Brad seems possible aside from what Chris/Jerry/RTZ/AP post, I sneaky think the Celtics might have to make some big roster moves the next few years (maybe not Tatum/Brown, but White/Holiday/Porzingis all making big money) and Brad might want to dip a little early like Bob with the Warriors or Theo with the Cubs. All the NBA teams have been pretty scared about the luxury tax with the new CBA and although the Celtics don't pay anything too crazy this year in penalties ($60M or so), next year they are on pace to pay around $250M. Bobby Marks has talked about how the Celtics are on pace to be the first $500M basketball team next season (payroll+lux tax penalties) too. Maybe their ownership would be willing to pay huge penalties for multiple years, but feel like there are many who clearly do not. Same way Myers left a year after a championship and before having to be the guy to let a Splash Brother walk (even if Klay isn't really the same Klay anymore) or Theo left the Cubs when it was becoming clear big changes were coming, curious if he would view this as a way to do the same. Could be wishful thinking, but when teams like TWolves are trading KAT for lux tax flexibility or the Mavs being scared of Luka long term on the payroll, makes me wonder if that comes into play weighing options -

Heads up, the "For You" section is based on following/tweets you liked so it's trending but trending for topics you are interested in. If you go over to the right twice to the "Trending" it'll be the tweets trending nationwide. With that well-actually aside, your point still stands. People are talking!! -

They used to use this one to tweet stuff that would get taken down later (like when MLB would take down any tweeted video from people without rights, before the time you could tweet a video from another account and it still gives the original video the views). Now it looks like they just use it to tweet blog stories -

He's posted on HSN and Twitter before. Has been wrong on a recruit or two like a lot of guys with connections, but his previous info on other things have proven that he definitely has some connections -

The hype has me me believing that Brad is listening to Mississippi Half-Step "Hello, baby, I'm gone, goodbye Half a cup of rock and rye Farewell to you old southern skies I'm on my way, on my waaaaaaaaaaaaaayy" -

Another homeless wanderer from HSN here (sorry not an insider, but do enjoy posting stats/trends). Love Assembly Call but Ryan does try to act a little smarter than he is at times and I'm not sure he's that much in the know. In the 19-20 season when Fire Archie talk came up in a post-game youtube show he was saying how we wouldn't because of the buyout and when several people in chat mentioned how his contract (like Crean's and most coaches) have it so a new job cancels out a good portion of the buyout he looked dumbfounded when he was reading it. Know Chris or IUWins did mention that the schools do still need to have the money for bookkeeping reasons but I just know he isn't always totally on his stuff. That being said, I've been listening to Assembly Call since 2015 and he is a nice perspective change from Jerrod/Andy/Coach.
