If DD's the new coach, at least he would stop saying bad things about Indiana.

There's one thing we shouldn't underestimate on Pitino: his ego. Also, his too good of a coach for a struggling high major D1 program (obviously with lots of money) to pass up. I heard Pitino's buyout is $10mil but wonder if that's ever gonna go down.

Maybe I'm reading into things too much, but there's a comment in Dolson's announcement that caught my ears. "I'm a big process guy." Of course, Brad Stevens would be our ultimate dream, grand slam hire, but somehow I thought if Stevens is a pipe dream, it could be Beilein because IU can certainly hire him as a stepping stone to right the program and to position the IU job as a much more attractive one in 5-6 years from now. And if Beilein can hire Dane Fife as his top assistant? I think I would love it.

Thanks for sharing. He was a great coach and a potential hall of fame coach. What a waste.

    Player decisions

Al gave all he got for IU. Too bad he couldn't experience the March Madness at IU. Hope he stays connected and chooses a good tournament-ready team as a new home.

    Player decisions

That's why IU gotta hire someone that's been there and done that. It was Archie's first time coaching a star player, even though Romeo was calm and fairly a nice kid, he didn't know how to handle the whole situation. My guess is he didn't really do anything to manage players' egos and to guide players to the positive direction. Also, he always picked quiet, introverted kids as team captains and failed to recruit potential leaders. His style probably only works in mid major tier where players he can recruit are usually lacking skills and raw talents so they play with a chip on their shoulders and play physically/aggressively to earn playing time.

    Archie. Miller. Fired.

Like Crean? I think he and his family need it. I mean he failed and did this to himself, but always good to get away from the whirlwind and to reflect. Good luck to the guy.
