Rice is a good pick up and if we get the other players we're supposed to I feel another round of 32 blowout coming! Exciting.

People often shorten 33 1/3% to 33%. So it works out like this: The shooter has hit 33 out 99 shots for 99 points. The last shot goes in 1 out of 3 times so, on average, they'll get 100 points. Or, if you don't like the idea of making a fraction of a shot, if they shoot 300 shots, they'll make 100 of them for 300 points. So 33.333....% from 3 is the same effective field goal percentage as 50% on 2s. But if they're shooting less than 33.33...%, like 33.32% or less, then that is a not as good as 50% from 2 while 33.34% would be better. If you want to go into that detail to differentiate between shooters between 33% and 34%, the fractional numbers after the decimal point actually matter. 3 * 33.33% = 2 * 50% For practical purposes, just saying that shooting 33% from 3 is as good as shooting 50% from 2 is close enough to true that most people don't bother with the fractional numbers.

So you're saying it's too early for the undefeated t-shirts? Crap, I wonder if I can get my deposit back...And what am I going to do about this tattoo?

That season was the ceiling for Mike Woodson. Yeah, the offense was good. He had an AA center (one of IU's all time best players) and a OAD PG. They had Kopp to make 3s and Galloway had his best shooting year by far. Yet, they still only managed to go 23-12, 12-8 on the season. They only managed to win 1 B1GT game. Got a 4th seed in the NCAAT but managed only 1 win there, too. 8 of those 12 losses were by double digits, including the blowout loss to Miami to end the season. Even with an elite guard he wouldn't have TJD to pair him with. That offense had at least as much to do with TJD as with JHS. He forced double teams and did a great job passing out of the post. So yeah, Mike Woodson.

    1) This is the Fire Woodson thread. Bash away. 2) Has he gotten any portal guys so far? Did I miss their commitments or is it just the assumption that we'll land them?

So not only are we going to land him but now he's going to have such a great year that he'll go pro after 1 year at IU? Man, the off season hype is always something amazing to watch.

That happened last night. This article mentions that but also says he's not taking the job. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/39920614/sources-scott-drew-turns-kentucky-remain-baylor-coach

I saw one on FB that made me laugh. It had SLU, of course, but also Duke, Tennessee, Illinois, and IU. Also, to your post, "a historic season" could include historically bad and being one of the first teams to miss the B1GT.

I guess Liam doesn't count to Tyme since he isn't a transfer, just a decommitment. The two blowout losses in the first weekend of the NCAA with TJD on the team, one of those with JHS also don't count somehow.

His political maneuvering is even worse than his basketball Xs and Os. Shows a pretty huge ego, too, and definitely not very aware, as you say, to think that people would fight so hard to keep him that the AD would resign.

I'm aware of that. My post was if he decided to not go to Arkansas, so I'm not sure of what your point is. Maybe you should read the post you responded to again.

There is no buyout on his side if he decides to leave.

My understanding is that if he talked to Arkansas without letting UK know, then he is in breach of contract and could be fired without them having to pay the buyout. But I'm not a lawyer so I could be wrong there.

I'm pretty sure the post you're responding to was tongue in cheek and in response to another poster repeatedly defending Woodson not working by saying it's dead week.

Someone needs to let them know that winning brings in more money than losing does.

This game and the loss last year really showed that Purdue is Edey and a bunch of other guys. Take the others out and they won't win. To Purdue and Edey in particular:
