How dumb is FSU's QB? Just run it out of bounds for a huge loss instead of throwing it away? Really?

(2024) PF - Derik Queen to Maryland

They were asked which B1G coach they wouldn't want to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Most were obviously joking but Willard said "Woodson" in a rather terse, serious fashion. I don't know if I'd read anything into that, though, unless there are other reasons to think there's bad blood there. Edit: here it is. https://www.tiktok.com/@bigtennetwork/video/7304319196861648159 -
Right, but is he a grad transfer? The article I saw didn't mention it.
-
Would McCloud even be able to play next year? He's used his "free" transfer and a coaching change is no longer something the NCAA will give a waiver for. Is he a grad transfer? He's been in school long enough.
-
I'm guessing this decision was made on the side of the coaching staff. I think he was in an that article with quotes from recruits saying he was looking forward to playing for Cignetti.

Maryland vs Indiana - Game Thread, Fri., 12/1 @ 7 BTN

Right, because the situation with Gunn is totally the same as those two. Calling to for a sophomore who hasn't played well his whole career is totally the same as calling for a 5* freshman in his first few games or a 5th year player who has been dependable in the past to sit. -
I just hope FSU and UM both win so that the committee isn't let off the hook and has to make the decision and then justify it.
-
They won't.

2023 NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament Thread

Tough way to lose. Great run at the end of the season after a rough start. -
I don't disagree and it would be totally unfair to leave an undefeated team and Texas out but I don't think the committee cares about fair. At all. Just money. The controversy would just be more publicity. I don't really think it will happen but would not be at all surprised it did.
-
That was TIC but I really wouldn't be surprised if it actually happened.
-
Alabama wins which means they'll probably put both Alabama and Georgia in the playoff, leaving out 1 undefeated team assuming UM and FSU both win.

"No self-imposed limitations" indeed.

Cupps is also just a freshman only 7 games into the season. -
Mostly mid-major on his list but he does have an offer from Penn State. Nice. IU needs speed, which this kid has.
-
He's one of a few (only one, maybe?) that did a good job so that makes sense. Isn't the whole OL in the portal? I wonder if this will get them to change their minds and stay.
-
I'm good with a complete overhaul of the coaching staff.

(2025) - PG Jalen Haralson to Notre Dame

His best offers are from Illinois and Penn State. Archie Miller has interest in him which automatically makes me skeptical. -
They negotiated it to a lesser payout over 2 payments so I highly doubt that it depends on future employment now.

Everyone, this isn't the great coaching hire we thought it was. We should just give up now, IUFB will continue to be IUFB. I did a deep dive into the stats and Cignetti scored 0 TDs at his previous stops. This is the same number of TDs that IU's failed coaches scored for IU! It's more of the same, just another HC who can't score touchdowns!
-
I doubt he'll ever score an IU TD.
-
2 or 3 doesn't matter. Unless he's transferring as a grad he'll, probably need to sit a year.
-
I'm not watching that game but I take it NW is getting homered at home?
-
IU has a large fanbase. The problem is we're used to the football team being bad and the administration not seeming to care. If they start winning, and doing it consistently, I think you'll see the NIL dollars increase. If they start winning big like the big schools do? Well, I think IU can compete. A lot of ifs in there (and big ones at that) but winning changes a lot things, including how much money fans are willing to part with.

Yep, he talks the talk now he'll need to walk the walk. Past results indicate he should be able to do that. As for the last sentence, I agree. This team could have gotten 6 wins this year. Looks possible next year, too.
