If we could get 1 of the 4, he would be my choice. I hope the staff can convince him to go to IU for his final year. -

New names: https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-football-transfer-portal-tracker-following-the-2024-regular-season/ Jimmoir "Mori" Robinson, Edge from UTSA. 6-5, 250 (or 6-6, 235 depending on where you look) AAC DPOY Out of JUCO was a 3* that had a decent offer list. Going through the motions and Woodson is probably in denial or clueless.

The effect of the football team's season on the swim team: https://swimswam.com/how-indianas-cinderella-season-in-football-is-trickling-down-to-swimmings-ncaa-title-hopes/ Obvious SEC fan whining in the comments makes me happy. -
They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread

I have a hard time believing there isn't some sort of face to face evaluation to see if someone is a fit. Especially for someone moving up from a mid-major. Are you saying they just select who they want as a coach then say, "hey, do you want this job? Here's our offer." -

I'm not so sure about that. Maybe based on his record alone it was a good hire but there were other things that should have been caught in the interviewing process. Like his total lack of personality, that he didn't want to fund raise, etc. -

Alford isn't a very good coach, either. Better than Woodson, but that is a very low bar. -

Sam Lindsey from Georgia State. 3 years eligibility. -

We're not talking about fans, we're talking about a coach who might want the IU job. If they don't already know the situation, they should find it out without IU having to explain it to them. -

Looks like even that was an overestimate of his capabilities. -

Any coach who is in line should have an idea of what Woodson has done here. Getting blown out on 2/3 of his P4 loses. Making the tournament, yes, but only securely one time followed by a quick exit via blow out each time. Never seriously competing for a B1G title, regular season or tournament. Archaic style that neither fans nor recruits like. Fans losing interest. And on and on. It doesn't take much research to find these things out of there not already known. If a coach can't be bothered to find those things out, he shouldn't be seriously considered. IU expects more than squeaking into the tournament. If he doesn't think he can live to to the expectations of IU, he doesn't belong. Also, putting them in the tournament this year is getting way ahead of ourselves. -

Why are you defending Woodson!? :) -
I've seen plenty of articles which have turned against ESPN, Herbstreit, Finebaum, Kiffin, and the other SEC shills for their hypocrisy.

lmao. I like Woodson? No, I do not and I've been very clear about that for a long time. Pointing out stupid posts isn't a defense of him, it's simply pointing out stupid posts. Call it a grift, I have no problem with that. It's just not a Ponzi scheme type of grift. -

Incorrect. In a Ponzi scheme, the latest investments are used to pay the earlier investors monetary returns. So there are several ways in which this is definitely not a Ponzi scheme. Do you realize there are types of fraud other than just Ponzi schemes? This isn't a pyramid scheme, either. Also, you liked your own incorrect post? lmao -
I can't stand ND but I hope they destroy Georgia. It'd be great if ASU beats Texas as well to knock the SEC out of the playoffs.

The biggest **** of them all is Finebaum. Still taking shots at IU. https://athlonsports.com/college/indiana-hoosiers/paul-finebaum-doesnt-believe-indiana-would-survive-an-sec-schedule

It's not a Ponzi scheme. You should stop saying that since you obviously don't know what a Ponzi scheme is. -

I don't care if he's fired, resigns, or retires just as long as he's no longer IU's coach. I just want Woodson gone and I'm not too particular on how that happens. -

Should've. Would've. Could've. It wasn't but that doesn't mean he'll continue to get more chances. -

I don't know about continuing to get QBs from the portal. They might but we did pick up Tyler Cherry last year. 4*, #18 QB in the class. 6-5, 215 lbs coming out of HS. So highly ranked and has a good size. After the elder Mendoza is gone, Cherry will have been with IU for 3 seasons (assuming Cherry doesn't transfer and Mendoza uses all of his eligibility). Here's the scouting report on him as a HS recruit: A pro-style passer with an ideal frame hovering around 6-foot-5, 205 pounds. Possesses significant long-term developmental upside due to his physical tools, highlighted by some of the best arm strength in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Utilizes his strong arm talent most effectively on third-level throws off of play action where he has the time to deliver passes on a rope or with touch over the top. Made positive strides as a senior in his second year as a starter in the intermediate passing game, becoming much more consistent with his timing and ball placement. Also improved as a senior in trusting his footwork to avoid unnecessary off-platform throws, but does have the arm talent to make throws from an unstable base when truly required. Will need to move through his progressions quicker and become a more decisive passer in college. Does not consistently threaten the defense with his legs but is athletic enough to occasionally escape the pocket to pick up first downs on the ground or extend plays long enough to launch throws downfield. Likely will need some time before he's ready to contribute at the Power Five level, but projects as a high-level game manager with serious NFL tools. -

Is he any good though? Planning on entering the draft would indicate that he could be but there are plenty of players who are delusional about how good they are. As a team PU sucked, so.....
