I haven't watched TT and have seen only a bit of UM but comparing his resume to May's, I'd take him over May. He doesn't have the FF run that May has but he has a much longer resume as HC and has done a good job everywhere he's gone with success in other tournaments. CBI and NIT Championships at North Texas, 2 D2 E8 in 2 years, as well as NJCAA runner-up and champion. I wouldn't be upset if he was hired. I'm still not 100% sold on May.

That depends on what you're talking about. You can have percentages over 100% when comparing things, when talking about increase/decrease, and other times. I don't know what this particular instance is referring to so that might not apply but to say that a percentage is always 100 or less is incorrect. Even when used where impossible, like effort given or amount of agreement, it is generally understood that higher is better even if not technically possible. -
I would take McCasland over Gates. He seems like he might be a decent hire. Due just to how he's doing this year, I'd take Gates over the other Stuhoo favorite, Shrewsberry. I don't really want either one, though.

The Hoosiers split with Louisville (at UL) in the final dual meet of the season. The men won and the women lost. They also set 6 pool records in the process. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2025/1/31/mens-swimming-and-diving-no-2-6-hoosiers-set-six-pool-records-in-split-with-no-11-10-louisville https://swimswam.com/julia-dennis-swims-21-61-50-free-as-louisville-women-defeat-indiana-iu-men-earn-win/ -

They'll probably forever be Crouton in my mind now.

A realist wouldn't talk about Wade in conjunction with the IU job.

He has a son who is a freshman at ND this year on the basketball team. I guess he also has a daughter who is in HS. Maybe Stevens wants to coach his son? I guess we'll see. -

Better shape only because there are no sanctions. The new coach may have to recruit a whole new team just like Crean did. The portal and NIL should make that easier, though. -

It is a DD tweet so it's pretty much a given that it was a stupid tweet. It's what he does. -

I was with you until the "Woody may actually fire himself" part. He's made it apparent his ego is too big for that, regardless of outcome. Afterall, the failures aren't his failures, they're the players' failures. -

The player doesn't need to call the timeout. What a ******* liar. Once again it's the player's fault, not his. Just when I think I couldn't like him even less, he finds a way. -
Ah. I saw someone say they dropped a place. Guess they were wrong.

And Purdue found out what IU fans already know from the past few seasons: you can drop in the NET after a win if that win is closer than expected against a bad team.

And only had experience with a different cuisine.

IUBB @ Purdue - Friday, 01.31.25 @ 8:00 on Fox TV

IU just finding ways to lose. Shot better than their opponent overall. Shot almost 37% from 3 while holding PU to 15% (15 point edge to IU). Won the rebound battle. More assists. They waste all of that by having twice as many turnovers, including giving up 13 steals. They also fouled 50% more than Purdue, resulting in 12 more PU FT. Still had a chance to win but the lack of coaching was obvious in the end of game play yet again. -

Lol, I stopped paying attention before that last foul. Losing by only 5 when 12.5 point dogs is a moral victory! It's definitely a win for team tank. -

Finding ways to lose. Losing by only 3 is the same as a victory, right? -

Exactly. Woodson, like Miller before him, shows his weakness is basketball. One is gone and one will be soon. -

Or you could just post it in the appropriate thread. I suppose that may be too complicated. -

Than maybe it shouldn't be in the Woodson thread. -
Constantly shifting the goal posts as usual. You said "never" then when I gave you an example you shift. Typical. The fact that Crean was given as long as he was shows your first statement above is false. I would say that Painter has been way more consistent than Crean ever was or had shown he could be. The reason for that is he had a lot of turnover in his program (remember the term "Creaning"?), had some discipline problems, and had alienated a lot of the area's HS and AAU coaches. Part of the reason the AD created the student athlete Bill of Rights was because of Crean and the stuff he did. Painter just had 1 bad patch where he tried to recruit players that didn't fit his system. Relative to Crean, few discipline problems. Painter also hasn't pissed off a ton of HS and AAU coaches with his treatment of their players. This while being more consistent both within the B1G as well as getting to and advancing in the NCAAT than Crean. That 4 year stretch you mention, he still finished 3rd in the B1G in the 2 years he made the tournament.

Crean says hello. You're talking out your a**. There's another thread for talking about other coaches who may or may not become the next coach at IU. This topic is about firing Woodson. -

I'm not sure except that I know that it won't be Wade or Beard. Brownell seems extremely unlikely.
