McGollum, err, McCollum
-
He was already ignoring his off the court media responsibilities as well as his recruiting responsibilities. Not much has changed except that even he now knows he won't be the coach at IU next year.
-
Beard is as unrealistic as Stevens was. It's just not going to happen.
-
You'd rather eat **** then hire him? Kind of strange to me but whatever floats your boat, I guess.
-
He's my #2. I'd be very happy If Dolson could pull him out of Texas.
-
"Not a candidate" because he's already accepted the job as the next coach. Not lying but throws everyone off the scent. JK. Does May want to be the next coach at IU or not? That is the question. I guess we'll find out in a month and a half.
-
You forgot: BTB in 2021 after Woodson accepts the job: "What in the actual f--k is Dolson talking about? Ugh, he wasn't joking."
-
I think it was that big. If only it was foam...
-
Wait, you didn't get a prostate exam as part of your background check!? I thought there was something odd about that...
-
You need your eyes checked. McCollum looks more like Gollum than he looks like Colin Farrell.
-
Except for Beard, I like this list. The order of the top 4 really works for me.
-
Yes, what IU needs after the last 2 hires is a known not a gamble.
-
You should've stopped at the line. You apologize for being a dick then start acting like a dick again immediately by throwing out insults in the same post. Apology fail. This isn't the only IU message board. Maybe you'd be happier on one of the other ones since I don't think this one is for you.

I'm coming around on him, he's having a really good year. UM has improved greatly under him compared to last season so he's proving it after his jump to P4. On kenpom, has both the offense and defense in the top 25. I would like to see his team take better care of the ball. There is still some risk since he doesn't have a long track record of sustaining success at the B1G level but I think that is a risk worth taking. Some think that he won't leave UM after a year but I think he would. His buyout for leaving is pretty low at $5M, soon going to $4M. That is something that he or his agent had to fight to get. That shows that he might be open to leaving for IU. However, some reports last year said that he didn't want the fishbowl of UL. If that was too much for him, would he want to go to IU which is just as bad?

So talk about those guys. Start with what you like or don't like about them and why you think they'd be successful, which you will prefer or think will actually be the coach, etc. People will respond. We have talked about coaches other than Stevens. You're allowed to start the conversation.

IU Mens/Womens Swimming and Diving
go iu bb replied to LIHoosier's topic in Other Indiana Hoosiers Athletics
Women add a distance recruit. Looks like a development/depth recruit at this time. Comes from a swimming family. https://swimswam.com/zoe-de-fabrique-daughter-of-french-olympian-and-ncaa-champion-headed-to-indiana-for-2026/ -
Yeah, I read the whole thing after I posted and edited the post to remove that line but you were already replying, I guess. I didn't see them define "an extended period of time" though. Definitely won't get it if it's only a few days even though you're paying for those channels for those days. I do expect that it'll only be a few days, maybe a week. We've seen this before.

I no longer subscribe to YouTube TV but I bet you'll get those back soon after the two companies finish their pissing contest, errr..negotiations and sign a new agreement. Sucks to lose them even for a little while, though.
-
Oh, no, not all the way. Barely scratched the surface but I'll spare everyone from more.
-
Looks like he and CJ West are the only 2 from IU.

Hex is short for hexadecimal. It's a numbering system often used in electronics and computer science/programming since it's base 16 (2 to 4th power) and can be used to represent binary numbers in a format which is much easier to read and write. It has 0-9, same as the base 10 number system you're used to, but also uses letters A-F for 10-15. So 0x1c (hex) = 1(16^1) + 12(16^0) = 28 (decimal) = 0001 1100 (binary) for example. There's also an octal numbering system (base 8, 0-7) but it's garbage, imo. Long live hex! And that is your nerd lesson of the day.

I would also add a few other possible (probably?) things that affect the information in addition to what you said above (which I agree with): - It looks like a lot of the info comes the IU side and not the target's side. So the way a target (in this case Stevens but this applies to recruits as well) is leaning is really just a reflection of how confident the IU side feels instead of what the target is actually thinking. - The information seems to pass through several people before showing up on this board. Distortion is to be expected. That's not to say intentional, but it does happen when passing info from person to person. Anyone remember the telephone game we played as kids? I love the info we get on this site but at the same time take it with a grain of salt. Not because I think they're lying or making it up, but because I can see how things can change or the how it might be inaccurate.
-
Yeah, right,. Now you're just making stuff up. Next you'll be telling us that your name isn't actually RaceToTheTop.
-
So you did. That's what I get for distracted reading and posting while distracted.

Unless you were personally told by Stevens or someone who knows, it's not a fact, it's your opinion. I think you're correct that he's likely in Boston to see his son but the fact is that it isn't a fact, it's an opinion. Let's not confuse opinion and fact. If you see Stevens in the stands during the game or can otherwise confirm that he is there, THEN it becomes a fact.
