Even if PSU loses today (looking doubtful) and IU wins (quite likely), the B1G would probably try to find a way to screw IU out of playing in the B1G Championship. Again. I also wouldn't mind the committee looking and seeing IU's last game being a blow out win instead of the likely loss to Oregon. And having only 1 loss. Getting to the Championship game would be great and all, but at this time it's more about the CFP than that to me.

Only in the B1G Championship with a win today (shouldn't be hard) and a PSU loss. I think PSU has the tie breaker against IU. Back on topic, Woodson isn't a good coach. That's why this thread stayed alive even during the offseason "win." All that talent would still be coached by Woodson.

IU's win over Michigan looks better. Also, IU should get the credit for this UM win. OSU was obviously coming off a big win against IU so a let down is to be expected. :)

I like a lot of your list except for Shrewsberry. He seems incredibly overrated on this board. He gets credit for having potential but never stays anywhere long enough to see if he'll ever actually reach that potential. He's in year 2 at ND and lost to Elon by 7 points. He's only 4-3 so far this year and has won less than 40% of his games there and less than 50% overall. It's 100% clear he's not a fast fix and quite unclear if he'd be a fix at all. I would be very disappointed if IU followed Woodson with Shrewsberry.

It could be after the next game. We'll be playing another 0-2 team so there's a chance they'll be bad enough for Woodson to get a win.

I agree. I think that since we had Michigan, a bye week, and then OSU it's been 4 weeks since we have decisively won a game which is also part of why IU dropped so much. People are thinking IU ran out of gas or were overrated after all because of short memories. Blowing out PU will remind people how IU has played for most of the season.

The B1G needs a hype machine like the SEC has. Whatever one they have, they need to turn it on against the ACC teams, SMU in particular.

They do have some bearing. The winner gets an automatic bid which might be the only team for everyone who isn't the B1G and SEC. The top 4 autobids get a bye. So they definitely matter. It also makes sense to me that losing wouldn't be held against a team. It's an extra game against someone who is obviously good and just getting to the game is an accomplishment in and of itself. If a team is pretty much in the CFP should that loss knock them out maybe in favor of another team simply because that other team played fewer games?

I cancel right after I buy. Still get the whole year but don't have to worry about the autorenewal.
