Day-to-day and no MRI makes it sound like they don't think it's too serious. I certainly hope that is the case. At least the next game he might actually be needed in is not until Jan 5 so that's 2 and a half weeks to heal. -

Did he say if he'd had an MRI or not? -

If those were close games and IU only lost each by a few points, I doubt we'd be having this conversation. Instead, they got blown out in all 3 and just didn't look good at all. Kind of like the last few years, hence some concern. -
How far away is IUBB from being elite again?

Before Miller, Crean was at IU for 9 years. That's not anywhere close to 5 years. This idea that IU is constantly changing coaches is false. If you don't think the coaches are to blame, which one after Knight would you have kept? Davis? Uh, no. Started strong but after Knight's players left it went downhill quickly. He wasn't ready and isn't a P5 level coach anyways. Sampson? Great coach but terrible in just about every aspect. Crean? He had some good years but he also had some terrible years. His last year wasn't good and it didn't look like it would get better, which is why he was let go. His stint afterwards shows that was a good move. Miller? lol, h*ll no. -

I would also add that there is this (accurate, imo) idea that IU is stuck in the past. Something as simple as uniforms can help feed that idea when they look out of date. Modernizing them might help quash that idea a bit. -

You're taking credit for that? What did you personally do to help IU win those titles and go to those final fours? Why did you stop doing it? If you want to take credit for IU's past success, I'll also blame you for IU's current woes. -
As IU saw during the previous coach's reign, that only works if you have good players and good coaches. When the players improve year over year, that is a great strategy for being consistently good. When they don't improve, it's a recipe for mediocrity.

I think RPI and Kenpom are still using some data from last season while NET is only the current season. IIRC, it's not until some time in January before RPI and Kenpom don't depend on the previous season.

Further away from elite than I was hoping for entering the season. I'm not upset at the record, going 2-2 in the tough non-con games. But now the team is 1-3 in the last 4 games and those 3 loses they got blown out. They did beat UNC but, quite frankly, UNC was not playing well at the time and the game was at home. The losing isn't what bothers me, but how they lost. Despite the team's experience, they still don't know how to win, or even play well, on the road. Of course, JHS was out for 2 of those 3 loses and XJ got hurt in the other. That doesn't help but injuries are part of the game. Good teams can overcome. They got beaten so badly in those loses that I don't think being fully healthy would've mattered all that much anyways. Unless they figure out how to play away from home, I think this is looking like a middle of the pack B1G team and not one competing for a conference championship. The Xavier win was nice, but that is looking more like an outlier than the norm. -
Lol. 9 years of eligibility. https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sports/pac-12-player-granted-ninth-year-of-college-eligibility-by-ncaa-per-report/amp/

Franklin. No thanks to our coach at the time. -
How is that possible? I thought the "immediate" eligibility rules were for the next season, not the current season when transferring.

Even “IUFB sucked last year” is a statement of feeling. It's a judgement, an opinion and not fact. Facts would be that IU has a combined record of 6-18 (2-16) the past 2 seasons. My feelings are that IU has sucked the past 2 seasons.

This is the best post I've seen all week.

Not surprising. The players' are probably not mentally into the game after today's distractions.

What does this mean, exactly? That the team made errors by not following the game plan or that the game plan was flawed? -
That statement makes it sounds like he drinks at games.

This changes my perspective on the likely outcome of this. Bruises = pictures. Bite marks = pictures. 5s of choking hard enough to cut off breathing would likely leave marks that can be photographed. He's probably done.

Yes. The question is if they have this other evidence. Other witnesses and/or photos of injuries. I just don't have a lot of confidence in the justice system. Especially for DV and even more specifically when it involves famous and/or rich white men.
-
Definitely, that is what should happen. I don't think it will.
-
Yep. I predict the charges will be dropped or at most end up as a misdemeanor. UT will probably wait for it to go through the courts before doing anything. He'll keep his job but they'll wait for it to go through the courts which will probably be after the season. If it ends up a misdemeanor, they'll suspend him for an exhibition game next season. That's my guess at how this will end up. That's a shame if he did do what he's accused of (which I'm guessing he probably did). Society is starting to take domestic violence more seriously but still not serious enough.

Domestic violence charges have a tendency of being dropped. If that doesn't happen, I won't be surprised if it ends up being plead down to a misdemeanor.

(2025)- Trent Sisley to INDIANA

Only 2 steals. Pass -
I don't know the details but it's possible he wasn't found for that long. People having heart attacks can act weird and will often go somewhere to be alone. I had a co-worker die of a heart attack at work, even though there are about 20 people there (including myself) who are trained in CPR. Guy wasn't feeling well so he went into the bathroom and sat in a stall. It was sad, especially since there were people around who could've helped him. So it's possible it could have been something like that with Leach.

Nor I. I thought before the season that guard play would be a major issue for PU.
