IU is playing the WNBA All-Star team as a 4th game?

    (2026) - Ethan Taylor

Will have an OV to IU September 19-21.

    Puerto Rico Trip 8/5 - 8/12

Trevor Andershock says that while Suigo is on the team, he's not expected to be there for the IU games. That's too bad, it would have been a nice chance for a little recruiting.

    Puerto Rico Trip 8/5 - 8/12

He did but I wouldn't pay too much attention to individual stats, good or bad. They were out enjoying activities like kayaking during the day, did no game prep, and Rabby says that after watching film the team was more like a D3 team than even NAIA. A good game is obviously better than a bad one but I don't think individual stats are telling in any way in these games.

    (2025)- Trent Sisley to INDIANA

Most of the points were through putbacks? He only recorded 3 rebounds and had 9 points from 3s so that doesn't seem likely. Regardless, it does sound like he played very hard. Effort and productivity will get PT.

    Puerto Rico Trip 8/5 - 8/12

Trevor Andershock before the game said they look like an NAIA team at best with IU having a big size advantage.

I'm more worried now. Apparently he doesn't take these totally meaningless exhibition games seriously enough.

    (2026) - Ethan Taylor

Rabby is saying that he's being told by someone who knows him (Taylor) "very well" that IU has a better chance at landing Taylor than previously thought. He also just posted an interview with Taylor which was quite positive in regards to his statements about IU and the staff. Says that positive social media interaction with Taylor is a good thing. https://x.com/3thantaylor24

(2026) - Marcis Ponder to Florida State

That doesn't bother me at all.
  10. This is incorrect. We got the 2 Euro players because of NIL/rev share. Without that, they likely would have stayed in Europe to earn money playing but coming to the US to play in college is now a path a lot more of them are looking at since they can make the same or more doing so.
  11. So instead of a 3 and D we're getting a 3 and 5? :)
  12. IU has offered 6'8", 205 lb C Davion Adkins of Dallas. Has a 7'2" wingspan. Will probably play PF at the college level. 247 has him with a 95 rating which is a 4*, 23rd overall and the #1 center in the class. The 247 composite has ranked similarly at 25th and the #1 center. Some other schools on his list are ASU, Cal, Houston, Kansas, KSU, LSU, Oregon, Rutger, Texas, and Texas Tech. 247 Back in April, Trevor Andershock described him as an impressive shot blocker who is quick off his feet with good timing. He said Adkins is offensively "raw with his back to the basket but has ball skills." From his 247 page linked above: Scouting Report Evaluated 12/23/2024 Adam FinkelsteinDirector of Scouting Adkins is one of the most naturally talented frontcourt prospects in the class of 2026 and while his tools have been glaring for some time now, he's just starting to turn potential into production at a more consistent rate. A long and athletic southpaw, Adkins is every bit of his listed 6-foot-8 with a massive 7-foot-2 wingspan, and huge hands. He's a bouncy vertical athlete and major lob threat who can rise-up for emphatic finishes. He also has soft natural touch and clear long-term shooting potential that should eventually allow him to stretch the floor both vertically and to the arc. Adkins is much more of a play finisher than he is a playmaker at this point. He's just starting to develop some footwork around the paint, but needs to continue getting stronger, raise his release point in the lane, improve his right hand, and ability to put the ball on the floor when facing up. Defensively, he can be an impactful rebounder and rim protector when he's fully locked in, but possesses plenty of other untapped potential on that end as well.

Yeah, this is the second time that I can remember him being hospitalized for heart issues. Time to retire, imo.

    (2026) - Aiden Derkack

The author mentioned IU but Aiden didn't. I wonder if the schools that he talked were the ones asked about by the interviewer or if he was asked an open ended question and those are the ones he chose to talk about. Not a great sign if it's the latter but I'm guessing it's the former.

He's in the 2026 class and isn't planning on changing that from what Rabby says he's hearing.

Rabby says IU has been recruiting C Sayon Keita. He's a 7' international player. He's from Mali but has been playing in Spain for FC Barcelona. Scouted as being a really good recruit who is currently raw offensively but a very good defender. Just turned 17.

    2025-2026 IU Roster

Oh good, the "Which of our last 2 terrible coaches was worse?" conversation again. They both sucked and got more time at IU than was warranted. I'm glad they're gone, along with pretty much everyone that was in the program under either one of them.
  19. The staff has offered 6'5" SF Malachi Jordan from Tennessee. Plays for MoKan Elite AAU team. Rod Clark has a prior relationship, recruited him for UT. 247 Trevor Andershock describes him as a big time athlete who is more of a traditional wing who can slash and hit from the outside as well as rebound well.
  20. IU has offered 6'8' Caleb Gaskins from Miami, FL. 5*, 247 composite #12. I've seen him listed as a SF and a PF but his twitter account says G. 247 I don't know if this is behind a paywall or not: https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/indiana-basketball-recruiting-5-star-class-of-2026-forward-caleb-gaskins-lands-indiana-scholarship-offer-christopher-columbus-nightrydas-249661794/

    (2026) - PG Dylan Mingo

We're really swinging for the fences in recruiting. We'll see how it works out with this staff. They do seem to be doing a good of getting traction and turning that into visits. There's always the portal in they can't land a few.
  22. IU has offered 6'8" PF Trey Thompson from Tennessee. Purdue has been on him for a while and may be the team to beat but he seems open to other schools and is still planning on visiting other places. Says he wants to visit IU. 247 Here's a nice highlight:
  23. Aaron Shackell joins his siblings at IU which is unsurprising. I'm happy but skeptical, just like when his siblings joined since this family seems to have real commitment issues when it comes to universities. https://swimswam.com/us-olympian-aaron-shackell-announces-he-will-transfer-to-indiana/

    2026 General Recruiting Thread (Bball)

Rabby says another name to know for 2026 is Aiden Derkack, a 6'5" SG. He's from NJ, so you know what to do @Home Jersey. https://247sports.com/player/aiden-derkack-46136996/

2026 DB Lawrence "Jay" Timmons to FSU

I often wonder why football players even bother announcing commitments since they just seem to be more of who the current leader is since flipping in football is so common. Good for him getting to play for his dream school. One thing that seemed odd was he says he's never been a big sports fan yet he's going to be a high major college player.
