See yall in 4 years when everyone else is calling for his head. I’ll keep the receipts. Bye
-
Even harder when you keep screwing up the coaching search.
-
Yea he called Archie a Homerun. If he thought Archie was a Homerun then he will be right again. Cause this guy is same caliber as Archie.
-
Pretty safe to say IU won’t be adding any new National Championship banners to the rafters anytime soon. Archie 2.0. SMH. Try again in 4 years I guess.
-
I figure we will be right back in this spot again looking for a coach in 5-6 years. I hope when that time comes that IU doesn’t give Steven’s the time of day. He’s had his chances. He doesn’t deserve anymore. And Dolson really dropped the ball here. Could have offered McCollum money and NIL that he couldn’t possibly say no too but end up with Archie 2.0. Dolsons a bum too.
-
If he hires Brownell I’m calling it for it right now.
-
Right. Painter is the perfect example.
-
You don’t need 5 stars to win ball games.
-
And so will anyone else that’s likely to take the IU job. It’s a different animal.
-
And you know what his former team just did this year? Went 6-22 and missed their tourney after he just dominated it the last 14 years.
-
No he’s going to be better. He’s the guy Dusty May calls for help.
-
McCollum has D1 experience too. 30-3 school record for wins and heading to tourney with D2 players.
-
The same people that don’t want to risk McCollum would have taken May last season based on him making the title game the year before. Mike Davis made a title game too.
-
If it ain’t Steven’s then sign me up for McCollum.
-
Exactly. Where do people get the Archie had amazing resume? He won conference outright once and tied for first another time. He won less than 70 percent of his games at Dayton. McCollum has won 82 percent of his games over 15 years. Won his conference 11 times and won national title 4 times. Yea it was D2 but if it so easy how come everyone doesn’t do it. The guy knows how to win ball games plain and simple. And he’s capable of adjusting.
-
But he was also at TexasTech under Knight the same time as Beard
-
He won 4 D2 titles. Now he’s winning at D1. Stevens was successful at a small college and jumped all way to Celtics and was successful. It’s basketball not rocket science. And with NIL it’s even easier to get players now. All the guy has done is win wherever he’s been. There’s no data that says he wouldn’t adjust and be successful.
-
Stevens went from Butler to the Celtics. That worked out ok.
-
He would have used a Celtics plane to go scouting.
-
He’s also part owner of the Indy 11. So I’d say there’s a chance he has some athletic interests.
-
It was said that the plane was owned by Chuck Surack. I’m assuming that info was correct.
-
But why did he use a plane owned by an IU donor?
-
With who?
-
Is there such a thing?
-
There a reason you have that feeling?
