Siap - what is the most an IU player has scored? Does TJD have it? -

Couple thoughts We’ve only taken 6 threes, and only have 6 assists— both have to change. TJD is scoring really well but we’re lacking in balance. Need to spread the floor, offensively. missing Rob’s D -

Marshall goes inside hard and plays really fast. Our 2-point D has been outstanding, as in top of the country outstanding, and tonight it will get tested. They also block and defend the 2 well. Interested to see how our coaching staff orchestrates this one -
Agree -- but, no way no how Duke goes undefeated, much tougher conf / schedule, the Zags have such an easy run outside a few games like Dook -- so, refusing to look myself in the mirror, with a sense of deep shame, I hoped for a Zags loss, closest I could get :)

Hell has frozen over?
-
Are we shooting free throws for Duke?
-
Bye bye Zags unbeaten run
-
Forget winning i’m just wondering who can even score
-
I can’t figure out who i want to win. Don’t want the Zags to be unbeaten, can’t stand K….

I’m in Texas. UT RGV is a small hole in the wall in the Valley, not even remotely a basketball school (the Valley is about soccer), Illinois, missing players or not, is just not very good.

Will Indiana be ranked tomorrow?
HoosierHoopster replied to Hoosierfan22's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Now just keep building on it - offensive improvement, hitting from outside, spacing, spread the shots around, more Bates, more assists Will be interesting to see our approach tomorrow— M gets out and runs, fast pace, high possessions, slow them down and they lose -
Seconded. This version of Cuse looks not great, but we’ve already struggled against Zone this year and it’s a road game
-
Exactly, was just going to post this, would rather face Cuse after they win, Auburn is trouncing them.

2021/2022 Men’s Basketball Season
HoosierHoopster replied to Hoosierfan2017's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Bates shot 43 percent as a HS junior, and 40 at IMG. He came scouted as an excellent outside shooter. We’ve played a total 5 games, he has years of well scouted shooting and he was recruited to IU after UT as a 3 level scorer who’s an excellent shooter, it’s not just speculation it’s what he’s shown as a player. Fully agree with you that our outside shooting as a team needs to continue to improve, and offense generally. No question it’s been behind the D. Do think it’s already starting to show improvement, and that it will gradually improve. Stew has just started to show his shooting the past 2 games - that should help spread the floor. Hoping Kopp starts connecting better, he has a well established history as a shooter so think it will, but also think he’s been forcing it, and want to see more guys taking more of the shots -

I like Leal and see a lot of upside in him, but his D is behind. I would think he will gradually earn minutes, but Bates is a 40 plus 3-point shooter, he hasn't connected at that rate yet on the season, but I'd bet on him ending up around there, and the more of a role in the scoring he takes on the more we'll score, imo. -

We’re also 5th in the country in fewest points allowed. D is way ahead of O but O has been improving, including Stewart now connecting after starting poorly, that 3-point percentage is skewed by early games. Kopp though has been (imo) taking too many shots while not connecting. Bates is a very good outside shooter, those numbers will come up -

Wow that’s a lot of goals for soccer :) -
Yup, Iona 6-0, first MAAC team to take down a top 10 team. Slick Rick can coach some ball
-
Mike Woodson to be next IUBB coach. Thad Matta to be associate AD
