A little pushback. Jokic’s skillset is second to none, best player in the League, Finals MVP, 2-time MVP light years different than TJD and Gordon not athletic? Besides being a former top 5 draft pick, he has had crazy athleticism (his slam dunk comp several yrs ago against Levine was crazy, but he took on a completely different role as a role player when traded from Orlando to Denver — still showed off his shooting and complete floor game in one big Finals game this year. Agree their bball IQ, especially Jokic, is key but that’s also a reflection of why it’s not just height comparisons. Most of these guys have very different games, Bam and Allen — different players. (Capella’s not a bad comp imo). TJD not showing any shooting game coming into the draft held him back, along with being a senior. All that said, TJD to me has the game to flourish on a team like GS, he fell too far in the draft, def a steal and do think he’ll make teams pay. On GS he’ll have the opp to rim protect/block, push the ball and run in transition and get inside buckets with major outside spacing. System, fit and development is so important in the League for whether a player sticks. TJD has a real shot at having a long career there, imo -
It’s definitely a good landing for TJD. GS develops players, it’s management is top flight, they followed the Spurs model to become a dynasty and they utilize their bigs within their system to rim protect, help create space for the outside shooters, push the ball out In transition, screen and rebound. Pretty sure Draymond will be back, they’ve made clear they want him back, would be surprised to see TJD get time early but it’s a good place for him.

Lance is still immature- lol
-
Sampson in the house
-
Lol same, what a silly take
-
and there he goes Read up on some of the stories on why Whitmore was falling - talk about practice efforts (“we talkin bout practice?”) but also medicals, assuming the medicals clear, Rockets got a steal (oh man and the Bilas says the same, hate agreeing with Bilas, such an azz lol)
-
Interesting. He’s already a steal of a talent this far down in the 1st
-
How is Cam Whitmore still on the board, thought Miami would pick him
-
And JHS is off the board! nice to see that IU jersey in the 1st
-
Ok so far I’ve watched two players drafted with highlights against IU (don’t think they showed Jett ag IU), looking forward to seeing JHS’s highlights— AT IU
-
Much better pick by Toronto than by Orlando
-
He got picked there bc they need shooting, but what else does he bring? D? Facilitating? Rebounding? Nope
-
Getting in the range - wait jett?? Jett ahead of a lot of better players…

So, Clippers

Read a great story on his background recently and how his manager (who became a close friend) helped him take his unselfish, team-first approach and, against his pushback that he could be an MVP, just focus on the work as opposed to (his manager's push) becoming an MVP. Lost 10, then 20 then 30 pounds, added, to his already exceptional game (including his court vision), an elite physique. He was absolutely unstoppable this year. In my mind he's clearly the best player in the League. And maybe one of the easiest guys to root for.

I'm an idiot. Sincerely, Chris Mannix

General range now at 10-20. The Toronto picks are pretty solid imo unless they want shooting. JHS’s size, strength, and maturity to go with his on-ball skills have moved him into possible lottery, and with the green room invite. Going to enjoy watching him grow his game further in the League -

The draft projection I like for TJD is no. 30 (i think it was 30) to the Clips. That would be a good fit, behind Zubac. A number of projections have him going to Indiana, but that just strikes me as saying well it’s Indiana. He combined well, so now is getting projections towards the end of the first. Clips would be a great landing spot. Hope wherever he lands is a good fit with good management— so important in the early years (wouldn’t like Charlotte) -
NCAA to “weed out” weed from banned drug list?
HoosierHoopster replied to HoosierHoopster's topic in Off Topic Forum
But the idea is they don’t test for it — it will be off the list. By treating it like alcohol I mean abuse — you can’t come to work- to a game etc drunk. It’s about quantity not treating it as a banned substance -
I want to see the dogs drinking your coffee.

Honestly, I can’t see how Trey wouldn’t start. And yeah, so much fun to watch him play
