Yeah I listened to a long piece on it on NPR yesterday. Interesting, a lot of collaboration went into it. Not a great song but that’s not really the point.

Yoko had the tape that made this possible. Makes me remember a kind if cool moment for me. High school about ‘81. This girl in English class thinks she’s going to give me a hard time. She says she saw this weird guy on SNL that reminded her of me. She says - George Harrison. I was like no way! Loved the Beatles back then and Harrison was always my favorite. Ruined her day- lol.

This is the point -- it's not our shooting percentage from outside, we have players that can hit well from outside and looking at one exhibition game to think otherwise is pointless -- it's a question of volume. The staff's recruiting included outside shooting and Bako absolutely can shoot, along with X and Gallo and Cups. Last season we once again shot by volume at the bottom of the B1G. That has to change for the team to be what it can be, and we're assuming what the staff is saying, and recruiting for, means we'll see that spread O with more outside shooting. Can't take too much away from 1 exhibition. But yes, we absolutely should be shooting more, a good 15 a game, that spreads the floor.

One thing that stands out to me in the team starter photo -- these guys are men. We've had any number of teams where the guys are skilled but several look like kids, kids just out of high school, playing against men. These guys look ready to bang.

It’s a hard comparison to make without having seen the team, and several of the players, play. No question TJD and JHS’s departures will be very difficult to fill. TJD was one of the best college players bar none, and JHS got it together at the 1 in a big way. That said, JHS was very inconsistent early, and had several real falloff games. Xavier, assuming he keeps his cool, should be more consistent and he clearly brings much more experience, and now we have an actual point guard off the bench in Cupps, and his outside shooting is lights out. Then you have a guy like Mack, an actual wing who also shoots really well and brings another 5-star attacking game, should have lots of mismatches. And hello, if Gallo is now shooting more with the level of shooting accuracy he showed last season? Watch out. I’m in the camp that sees a possible SW16 team. That assumes X and Gallo stay healthy, that necessary. I see an up and down team in season that gets it going midseason or so and can be one of those dangerous teams in March.
