    2022/23 IUFB Offseason News

I can't imagine the playing time outlook is very positive for him at Tennessee right now with Iamaleava coming in. Tayven is talented and could be a nice P5 QB but even if he beats out Milton to start next season that fan base would want Nico the first time something bad happened. I doubt they ponied up an $8 mil NIL deal for him to drink Gatorade and hold up those funny signs on the sidelines.

That, and I think this tweet got people speculating a little although it could mean anything.

You're probably right, I totally forgot about them being AAC previously. Still winds me up how weak Michigan's non-con has been both of the last two years and will be next year too.

I always thought that was the rule as well, in which case I'm curious how Michigan got away with scheduling UConn, Hawaii, and Colorado State in the non-con for 2022.

Not a huge surprise. Just wasn't quite the fit that some hoped it would be. Wish him well and less qb hits at his next stop.

    They Fired Tom Allen!

Not directly related to Tom Allen other than to further accentuate O-line mishaps, but Peter Skoronoski will almost assuredly be the first OL taken in next year's NFL draft and not only is he from a neighboring state but I just realized his grandfather is in the IU Athletics Hall of Fame and was a 5-time champion with the Packers, and according to 247 and Rivals we did not even offer a scholarship. He was out of our league from a ranking standpoint but so was McCullough and we used a family connection in that case. Maybe he told us no way right from the beginning or something, I just find it odd that we apparently didn't even try.

IUBB vs Bethune Cookman - Thursday, 11/10/22 @ 8:30 on BTN

I recall watching this Saturday morning NBC show back in the day where Reggie Theus played the coach of a fictious Indiana high school. I almost forgot he was a real coach and had no idea he was at Bethune Cookman.

    College Bball Thread

I thought it was a strange destination for him as well but likely a product of the times. He committed to PU in late October 2020 when there was no in-person recruiting and hadn't been for quite a while, and I think if he could have taken an actual OV to Virginia he would have wound up there. Seemed like because of the circumstances in-state schools were almost the only viable options. And, as you mentioned, I can see why he didn't want to commit to Archie and probably get stuck playing the 5 in the big ten.
