Would definitely be nice to get back in the win column against in-state mid majors. I was kind of hoping we would schedule Valpo as a replacement opponent this week for that reason alone.

(2024) PF - Derik Queen to Maryland

100% for me too. I can't see anything about him without wanting a Blizzard. No telling how much weight I will gain if this kid ultimately becomes a Hoosier.

Happy Holidays BTB! This is a great resource and a great place in general for Hoosier fans and I appreciate all of you.

(2022) K Cole Caba to Indiana

Was kind of hoping AJ Vinatieri would join the program as a PWO in this cycle, but I'm also definitely good with anything contributing to a pipeline with IMG.

    IUFB Offseason/Transfer Portal News

I heard on the Harris Highlights Youtube channel (which has a lot of good videos on guys in the portal and elsewhere in CFB) that Slovis' girlfriend is at Pitt so I'm not surprised to hear this. Between that and Pickett throwing for 42 TD's and 4,300 + yds in that offense this year that was probably a pretty attractive destination for him.

    2022 IUFB Class Ranking

I wonder how much higher a commitment from Bailey would have pushed our class ranking? That's a bummer as we seemed to be in a good spot with him and still need to add a QB through one means or another.

    IUFB Offseason/Transfer Portal News

Definitely agree with you that it's better than another C-USA or other mid-level G5 team, but if I recall correctly this will be our third home and home with Virginia since 2009 and between 2011-2020 we played Virginia more times than two teams from our own conference (Minny, Nebraska). I was kind of hoping for a different ACC, Big 12, etc team to match up with.
  8. I don't quite understand it either. I know Purdue and Indiana both offered really early, then he missed his entire sophomore year with an injury before transferring to a prep school on the other side of the country. A lot of schools contacted him, including Bruiser at Kentucky, Michigan St, and several high majors from out west that picked up on him, but no one after Purdue and Indiana actually followed up with an offer and I'm not sure why. It's without a doubt the shortest offer list I've ever seen for a player of that ranking.
  9. If anyone cares he is committing at I believe 4:30 today. Going to be making toilets almost certainly.
  10. What’s crazy is I checked every source I could think of, including 247, Rivals, ESPN, verbalcommits.com, and his personal Twitter page, and can only find verification of two offers, that being Purdue and Indiana. And per Dra’s own words in a recent Rivals interview Indiana isn’t even really recruiting him anymore aside from occasional contact from Brian Walsh. BYU, Gonzaga, UCLA, and some others expressed interest and made contacts but apparently nothing more. It’s certainly not every day you can land a high 4-star, top-30 player with no other committable offers, but it looks like that’s what Purdue is going to do.

    Signing Day! December 2021

Absolutely, also worth noting/remembering McCulley was his QB in high school at Lawrence North, so depending on the vibe he gets on McCulley's future as starting QB that might have some influence on if he stays committed or re-opens. Who knows, total speculation on my part. Hopefully the staff can sell him and keep him on board.

I also thought they'd be doing a little better at this point, but I think the ranking of their 2021 class was pushed way up by getting Bryce McGowens whose brother was already on the team. I would hope they didn't have to cheat to get that commitment with such a strong family connection in place, but who knows. Could also be some sort of transfer violations since Hoiberg commonly uses that route.

    OC Candidates

He probably saved his job by knocking off unbeaten UTSA last weekend, but if North Texas decides to go in another direction I would take a look at bringing Seth Littrell back to Bloomington. He was here in 2012 and 2013 as Co-OC with Kevin Johns, where IU's total offense improved from 102nd in 2011 to 53rd in 2012 and again to 16th in 2013. He's been the HC at North Texas since 2016 and has had three different teams finish in the top-30 in total offense, including two teams that had nine-win seasons. He also had the 38th and 9th ranked total offenses in his two seasons as OC at North Carolina, and improved UNT's offense by 29 spots when he took back over play calling duties.

    Nick Sheridan Fired as OC

You are right, they definitely have a funny way of omitting the other stuff. I did see a highlight of him getting sacked in the end zone by Joe Strickland, but everything else I've seen of him has made him look like a pretty special talent. We'll see it it's true. I just don't like seeing Purdue get nice things.

    Nick Sheridan Fired as OC

I know it’s water under the bridge at this point, but does anybody know if we were ever really in the mix for Brady Allen beyond just having an offer out to him? I didn’t even know there was a unanimous 4-star 2022 QB in the state until a few months ago when I saw him on Purdue’ committed list. He looks to be a solid talent and looked really good in the 3A title game over the weekend with 5 TD’s.

    IUBB vs Marshall - 11/27/21 @ 7:00 on BTN

This could be a fun, fast-paced game to watch. I believe Dan D'Antoni coaches a similar style to his brother, and between that and Lander possibly getting more minutes I would expect the ball to be moving up the floor pretty quick in this one.

    Game Thread: POTFB

I really enjoyed that 2015 team and I honestly think it may have been better than the 2019 team. The 2015 Hoosiers were 6-6 but if not for an epic meltdown against Rutgers and a 4th and goal conversion at the end of regulation by Michigan, that team would have been 8-4 with wins over a good Jeff Brohm-led Western Kentucky team that finished in the final top 25 AP Poll and only lost to us and LSU, and Jim Harbaugh's first Michigan team that if not for the botched punt against MSU would have been in the top 10 when we played. Not to mention that team took #1 Ohio St to the final play of regulation with Sudfeld and Howard both out in the 2nd half.
