  1. Part of that is the safe expectation that Langford will enter the draft which Ohio State likely will not have to deal with. I can not see Holtmann "Creaning" anybody.
  2. I know I have repeated this notion many times but I think bears repeating. Ohio State only has one scholarship available and are leading with EJ Liddell so I think it is very likely we see Newman (if Franklin commits) at Purdue.
  3. Hard to see him at OSU with them leading with Liddell for their last scholarship. Can not recall Holtmann pushing kids out at Butler either.
  4. I would think IU is in the lead. Purdue is likely to get Franklin, Ohio State's class will be filled once they get Liddell which leaves IU and Xavier. I think IU takes it with a home state and depth chart advantage.
  5. " Trendon Watford | SF/PF | Class of 2019 6-8½ | Mountain Brook HS | Mountain Brook, Ala. Watford continues to progress with his skill level every time we see him, which is impressive considering he's nearly 6-9 now with a 227-pound frame and a 7-1½ wingspan. He's a big wing with a versatile skill set, smooth and instinctual with the way he handles the ball and creates offense, possessing advanced footwork and body control and a great knack for putting the ball in the basket. Watford likes to play with the ball but is also capable of knocking down jump shots (inconsistently), particularly shooting off the dribble, which he can do from beyond the 3-point line. That's important because he's on the thicker side and not the most explosive athlete, relying more on strength and touch than verticality. He's going to have to improve his passing ability -- he's at times reluctant to move the rock -- and defense, which is far from a strength. Watford doesn't sit down in a stance or cover ground that well, as it doesn't appear that this part of his game is a huge priority at the moment. Big wings who can handle and score are intriguing in modern basketball, but Watford has a ways to go in terms of rounding out his game to realize his full potential."
  6. I am not sure many people have espn insider anymore so might be tough to find.
  7. Apparently an update from Snow on Newman, but could not see it.
  8. Purdue picking steam, 5 predictions from various analysts. Can not seem to find the guard for this class although I am not worried because of the strength of the two 5 stars.
  9. Do we have room for this kid assuming we get TJD and Brooks?
  10. Not that it makes a difference, but it feels like IU offers a couple days before every other program jumps in. Might just be my perception though.
  11. Francis has been injured for so long, I am sure there the concerns from UNC are why they are going after Mann.
  12. I think we were all aware of his coaching acumen, but his recruiting has far exceeded expectations. How he recruits will dictate how his career turns out.
  13. The heavy lean from Liddell came after Gaffney committed. OSU views Gaffney as a 3/4 and Liddell as 4/5 who can play together.
  14. Would not expect to land Liddell, OSU is the favorite with Mizzou behind a good distance. Not sure where the concern is coming from; is there any reason to think IU isn't the favorite for two top prospects in TJD and Brooks? Those two and pretty much any other perimeter player would make a great class. It makes no difference if kids commit now or two seconds before the deadline, they all end up playing at the same time. EDIT: Duke is most likely gonna end up getting Carey from Miami
