The Most Underrated Winning Players in IUBB History

I'd say that point is somewhat fair but in the moment he was certainly not forgotten or neglected. He was hyped more than anyone during those years. -
I think it's more about if Jackson is hurt. I doubt he "tries" to play him but if your back is against the wall a 60% Rourke is probably better than 100% Cherry or Mendoza (at this point in their careers). But yes there's an element of gamesmanship here as well I'm sure.

The Most Underrated Winning Players in IUBB History

Hard to say the guy on the cover of SI and the most talked about player on that team as underrated. I'd think from those teams Watford would fit this bill more than Cody. To me Cody is right up there as best big man to ever play at IU -
I would say odds are we lose one of Cig or Shanahan. If Cig leaves I could see us hiring Shanahan. Normally I wouldn't love that but I'd be ok with it here. He's so good with play calling and can clearly coach WR's.
-
Interesting that Cig says Rourke is "doubtful" for Saturday. 1st that's different from what he said Monday and they seem to not want to commit to him being out. Said he's day to day. Regardless good news

So I don't think we're going to see many designed runs for Tayven. His backup is now a true freshman that has essentially zero experience (regardless of Cherry or Mendoza). Have to keep Tayven healthy. I'm getting concerned for this game. -
Believe last week was the 1st drop of the season from a WR
-
If I'm Scott I'm handing Cig a piece of paper and telling him to write down whatever it'll take to keep him here and then giving it to him. I think he might be worth more to the university and the athletic department than what they would have to spend.

Also solid. I would be totally cool with either red or white script helmets as well. He really did nail the helmets. -

And either the white helmet or red with state flag on one side. Loved those helmets. -

I 2nd.....or 3rd??? this thought. @MSU is the game I worry most about. Although, in fairness, I'm worried about every game. Still trying to condition myself to this winning stuff. Coming around but I need more time. -
I would have thought this as well but against WIU Mendoza actually came in before Cherry so who knows?
-
So I've been trying to figure out why IU announced Rourke to be out 6 days before the game. Wouldn't it have been beneficial to let UW wonder who was going to be under center rather than giving them 6 days to prep for TJ? Just don't get the upside.
-
Which part? Noon kickoff or GD in Bloomington?
-
Good news is this Washington defense gave up 40 points to Iowa the last time they played. Iowa. Iowa.
-
1) I acknowledged he played well. In fact he should've been 8-8 had Coby not dropped the last one. 2) The larger point being that he came into a no pressure situation and was getting tons of help from defense and the run game. I think he's a good QB but I also wonder if he'll be able to run this offense in the same efficient manner that Rourke does when it's 0-0 or if trailing.
-
Hope you're right. He looked good yesterday but he also had remarkable field position and was spotted a 21 pt lead when he came in.
-
I think Rourke missing game(s) will be a serious problem. I really like TJ and actually thought he was better choice to start the year. However, CR has completely changed my mind and a big part of our offensive success has been his decision making in the RPO game. Can Tayven consistently make the right choices and make them as quickly as Rourke? I sure hope so but I do worry about that.
-
And there were some here that thought he'd be a good hire for us. I was not one of them. Thankfully, SD found someone else.

Every one of these players I listen to in interviews I come away impressed with. They all seem to carry the same message, which is coach's, with a level headed-ness. Freaking love this entire program right now.
-
I know it may seem crazy but I think $10-$12 mil per year and the highest staff budget in the B1G may be in order here. If you want to keep him you'll have to back the truck up and give him so much he can't leave. Let's hope that's what happens.
