If an announcement is coming Monday, as for current coaches, I think Wade and to a lesser extent McCollum would be in play. My logic: If announced before the tournament, a major program guy would be seen by some as causing distraction and deserting his players. Wade was recently interviewed and has said he has had discussions with his players concerning his future. Any run by McNeese would be a good story of the team coming together with their departing coach. Portal recruiting would be possible, even as he coached his team. Things would probably be kept quiet but as there is zero overlap in players in play for both schools, no perceived conflict would prevent reaching out to certain players about interest to play at IU.
