What are you talking about? Nowhere in his quote does he mention it is merely because of his first name, Adolph. That is you own inference.
  2. Xavier Johnson- He is what IU has lacked for years an alpha dog PG that can fill it up and dish it with equal efficiency KindaYogi-esque Plus he looks a little like Al Durham with the long chin, so kind sentimental.
  3. What????? resumes? You are saying a shitty #158 Drexel was more deserving of the tourney than #11UCLA based on going 4-5 in conference but beating powerhouse Elon in the daunting CAA championship. Please.
  4. But potentially never giving a 11 seeded UCLA a chance because of auto bidding a no chance Drexel does not make the tourney better. 15 seeds wins make the tourney great because they are part of the top 64 . Never giving a#11 kenpom UCLA team a chance to allow a #158 Drexel does nothing to make the tourney better.
  5. So you feel better not having UCLA for Drexel? Why should a lesser team be rewarded for beating lesser teams? UCLA was obviously superior to many auto bids but they had tobeat MSU and some serious talent just to get into the 64 just for good feels.
  6. Just eliminate auto bids, top 64. Auto bids are nohing more than just a participation trophy for lesser schools. If the commitee cant get it right, it's on them.
  7. not sure fairness is making UCLA play an extra game while Drexel or Hartford sit, but optics ...yeah.
  8. Seems pretty f up just take the last 8 teams in regardless of auto vs at large. Why penalize an 11 seed level team because they play in a challenging conference.
  9. Can someone explain to me how the play in games are not all 4 16s vs 17s? How does a potential 11 have to play another potential 11 while 20 lesser teams have a rest?

To my knowledge the SEC has yet to eliminate the 1 yr sit for intra-conference transfers. If so, interesting decision.

    When did he say that?

Armando? Is that the cook at Chipotle Bloomington?
  13. I would love to see another year of Lander, but he and IU really need a strong shooting coach. Lander's jab jumper with no follow through was just awful form to watch. He looked like a nervous middle schooler that shows up at the rec and has to end up playing with the starting HS team.
  14. If it for a player to announce he is staying right where he is at, then eye roll emoji. If CMW and staff wants to create some positive portal energy, I can get with it.

Mike Woodson and His Coaching Staff

That was the Porter Moser long non denial response. When Moser said it, I was like, "Oh sh1t he has already been offered the job!" Thankfully it was more him hoping for some call. With Lewis, it is obvious he has received or would relish the opportunity to consider the IU job.
  16. Hopefuly CMW isn't that old guy that calls someone the wrong name and never can get it right after calling him Tracy earlier this week.

I think it is a paper thin argument that parents and recruits will see through. He easily walks in and says, " I hear that other coaches are saying I may leave UT. Well, I was a born, raised Longhorn fan and graduated from UT. I had to journey to get back but I am home." Then he pulls up his shirt and shows him his Longhorn tramp stamp and waves a hook'em Horns. Done deal.

Not sure saying "do you want to play for a guy that has been so successful with his players and style that NBA teams are interested and that he man leave before you graduate or go pro?" is a good angle. Anywhere else than UT and I think that that could be used against him, but UT is his destination school. It would be like recruiting against Roy Williams a few years back and saying he left UK for UNC, are you sure he won't bolt from UNC. It was known that UNC was his Everest, much like UT is Beards.

Meh, no one is going to say are you really going to send your kid to play for a guy that left McMurry for Angelo St, or UALR for TT. His moves have all been upward and he is now at his Woodson's IU. He is locked in and will be there for 20yrs if he is successful. 2012–2013 McMurry 2013–2015 Angelo State 2015–2016 Little Rock 2016–2021 Texas Tech 2021–present Texas

IMHO, a 1 time no sit transfer with unlimited ability to transfer when HC change would be fair. I think the NCAA, sees and likes the offseason interest that this is creating, like NFL free agency, and likes the buzz, but this seasons free for all is ridiculous. They also should create a small window, say for 1 month after the FF that a player can no sit transfer. Over 20 P6 schools have 5 players in the portal(4 in the B1G), some smaller schools have 10+ players. As it is constituted this season, the transfer portal, is unsustainable.

These players get sunshine shined up their ***** 24/7 by recruiters. Someone saying you have got a nice game but to get to where you want to go you will need to work on x,y, and z should be refreshing. If it is true, which why would a HC or anyone say it if it wasn't and it is taken negatively to the point of dropping IU as an option so be it. I say that would be a mistake averted.
