Transfer Portal w IU Interest
iu eyedoc replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The ballooning NIL seems unsustainable. Huge salaries of NBA players are repaid in owner revenues. A large portion of NIL comes from donors that receive nothing but some grovelling and good seats for the games. How long will the Gabe Cupps of the world command $1M? The shiny new toy syndrome will eventually wear off with any team if the donors pump in huge cash and end up with Mike Woodson type results for any length of time. -
Transfer Portal w IU Interest

So how does that work? Do you just believe the rumors that fit your narrative and disregard the others? -
Drinks with Ballo?

Some of the comments out there are insane This confirms Tucker faked injury, DeVries threw games, the inbound plays where bad, offense non-existent, and Colorado wasn’t as goood as Small So he threw games and still ended up 19-13, sounds great! And Tucker DeVries underwent shoulder surgery for a fake injury so his dad could take another job that he was the backup plan for. They all be drinking cases of this in WV.
-
And while DeVries is follicly challenged, we don't risk a potential Lou Doo.

Curry Hicks Sage hinted at Stevens backing out on Sunday night
iu eyedoc replied to Ctf9's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just remember, this came from people you will never meet and in no way affect your actual life. You wouldn't care if you told a random guy something while waiting on a n oil change at the Jiffy Lube and he called you a liar. Take no stock in the praise or critiques from faceless characters on a monitor. -
He capitalizes the V, why wouldn't you?

Until official updated please accept my version:

I'm betting it is no less likely for certain BTBers to freak out when he "misses" on their perceived must get target.

Let's hope Stevens regrets his second last second about face for a good 15 years this time. -
Do you CDeez,....nuts?
-
I'm a traditionalist so it will be CDDV or DDV for me. What are the 3 D's in D3? Force nicknames a cringy to me.
-
DDV while answering a press question mentioned them respecting his WVU team in season. Do you actually think Dolson went to DDV and said, " Hey I bombed with Stevenson again and if you could do me a solid and at the presser, sneak in a tidbit about me talking to you weeks ago that would be much appreciated." While a respect the enthusiasm of the conspiracy theory and you are likely an intelligent man that smells of lavender and sandlewood, that statement is ignorant of any facts.

Nice that Archie Miller could make it to lend support, kinda hard to see him behind his daughter.
-
Much better answering questions than reading the prepared script.
-
"Throughout, they were respectful of me being focused on my team." Las second scramble hire...debunked.
-
Apparently they were 2 and 2b if he wan't waiting a day or 2 for McCollum. SD be like:
-
If Stevens pulled the rug from under SD's feet last minute a second time, esp. them being friends, I think he might be kind of a Masshole without an M. With friends like that who needs enemas.

In the NCAA transfer portal, a "do not contact" tag allows a player to prevent schools from contacting them unless the player initiates communication first, indicating they may already have a destination in mind.
-
Yeah, he seems to have had his fill of the University of Indiana
-
So I guess Drock isn't uniting the fan base?
-
With MR portaling away from the University of Indiana and Cupps earlier departure, along with TDV and 2 of the 3 WVU recruits decommiting, I think we may need an amendment to allow names on jerseys for the first 10 games next season.Things are about to get juicy.

5th choice is being generous. I bet they had Donovan, Pearl, Wright, Few, Drew, Golden, and Hurley higher as well. So probably not even top dozen. Doooooomed
-
This is much too much of a generalization. @Chris007,et al, just relay info they get from donors, university employees and the such. Are they always accurate? Obviously not. But free information is worth what it cost. Buyer beware. I think they have more of an ax to grind with those that clearly were passing conjecture and rumor to them as more factual than it was. Now Isaac, and a few others of the Johnny--come-latelys were obviously yanking chains, but again the info is worth what you paid for it. I personally enjoyed the ride and the crazy rumors added to a few dips and twists. The outcome was as good or better than could be expected based on similar or better programs going with even lesser regarded hires just last year. It was fun to think Stevens or Few or Drew were an option but almost all schools have big bugets and IU is just one of about 50 similar programs at this time. The only more P5 proven guys that were realistic were a drunk and a guy that has one of the smarmiest recorded recruiting recordings ever heard.

So SD learned from MW's 4 years that he wanted the exact opposite guy.
