Yet you call him hamstrung, which in sports connotes him, not of his doing, being put in the undesirable position. Which side of your mouth are you talking out of now, I can't tell by your typing?

I mean if MW can get an all time IU greats to stick around for their 3rd and 4th seasons and recruit 6'-6" 1 and done McD AA point guards with consistency, I'm on board. We are totally locked in for the triennial Sweet 16 appearance and can pummel those naysayers with his better than Coach Archie Miller stats. Toot toot.

He had three off seasons to get the backcourt of his choosing prior to last year. You consistently blame the exact players he chose to recruit and/or keep, yet absolve MW of all blame. How you don't see your hypocrisy is baffling.

Not sure that in any way makes a positive statement about his coaching prowess. 8 of those 19 wins were against bad to horrible programs, 3 against the 26th ranked A-Sun conference lower tier teams,( Heard they may consider making IU an Honorary member). They went 11-14 against top 150 schools with only 2 of those losses by less than 8 point no doubters, while 10 of their 19 wins were by 6 or less, a 1 point squeaker over Moorehead State and a 6 point near disaster win in the season opener against FGCU. IU eeked out wins against mediocre and bad teams and were blown out repeatedly by good teams, I mean FFS they lost to Nebraska 268-206 on the season. The other thing is they started the season against FGCU playing 3 guards and looked lost. We have no idea if Woodrow even knows how to draw up and coach a capable small lineup offense.

If IU goes 20-11 and flames early in the tournament, it's worth a talk? LTFOL The only talk if that were to come to pass is to which senior country club community do you want your checks sent.

Sorry to disappoint you but 16-4 and a record worthy of a 2 seed isn't disappointing anyone in this thread that wants to see MW gone. What's more likely if IU would go 25-6 and fire MW fans being disappointed or 20-11(13-7) finishing 5th in the B1G and the excuse makers making excuses? That is an easy one. I mean you are already paving the way for excusing the "best and most versatile roster" in the B1G to underachieve because they lose to better lesser talented teams than school _____X_________. Oh and your so many variables is literally one thing which should be insignificant given that IU has the "best and most versatile roster."

Barring major injury to a key player, what other variables are there? Injury is the only variable for which the coaching staff is not responsible. Short a major injury, you should expect no less than a championship. He's got the "best" roster, the one"most versatile" to adapting to other teams. Please list just a few of these " so many" variables that would be outside of Woodrow's province that would forgive a middling B1G season.

So less than a B1G championship would be an underachievement in coaching?

It was his friggin' inept shooting personnel. And as for comparing IU's offense to the triple option, we agree, Woodrow runs as archaic an offense as the Naval Academy, at least they have an excuse as to why they don't recruit athletes fit for the modern version of the sport.

3 offseasons PRIOR. And I did forget Kopp, but I guess so did Woodrow, since instead of getting looks for the one capable 3 pt shooter he has brought in, Kopp's volume, as a experience senior and senior+ and best 3point shooter on the team, went down to lowest since being a snot nosed freshman.

Hard to say when you just repeatedly play a stagnant offense determined to pound it in the paint. Funny when you try to get shooters open with clean looks vs late desperation shot clock 3's, things change percentage wise. IU was awful at 3pt% but still 78 positions higher than their volume ranking. The only teams among the 271 schools to shoot less 3's with equal or better % were Texas State and Jackson state. Who else did you want attempting more 3's? Not sure why you are surprised a team that ignored the 3 pt shot as a weapon would be bad at it. You reap what you sow. Here is a list of the lowest ranking teams shooting the 3 as a % of all shots. Strangely a very similar list as those that shoot low volume and bad percentage and again, no other major program other than IU in sight. As far as questions are concerned, please give even a single good reason Woodrow has been unable to recruit or bring in via portal, a single good 3 pt shooter in the three offseasons prior. If Miles Rice continues to shoot 27.5% from 3 next season or Carlyle continues his sub par 3 pt shooting are you going to be exclaiming, " Who else did you want attempting more 3's? " like a good Woodrow apologist? I mean sure no one is expecting him to hang with Tarleton State, but...

There is no excuse, no explanation, no reasoning that could ever justify IU occupying this territory among not a single other power 5 school. The shooters were Woodrow's, the coaching and training was Woodrow's, the game plan was Woodrow's. His off season laziness resulted in what was seen last season, has he changed his ways after last seasons disaster? Short term it seems so, but I doubt he had an epiphany at 66 years old that he will now be a tireless recruiter every off season.

I spanked my young children when they did wrong. They have done things as teens I didn't agree with and I have voiced my displeasure with their actions and taken away driving privileges and/or grounded them . Funny thing is I still love them and are a true fan of the men they have become. If I had a boss I don't think she would take well to those actions either...well, since this is hypothetical maybe I will imagine having a hot kinky boss.

I heard Woodrow misread GCHS and thought all the cars were parked in GCC parking lot( Greenfield Country Club). When a cart attendant never came to his car for his clubs, he walked into the gym and asked "one of the the tall lanky kids" to stop goofing around and to load his bag and direct him to the clubhouse bar.
