Rabby reporting his sources say Wilkerson is now leaning IU but things are fluid and could change. -

Rabby also said: DDV is not solely waiting on Wilkerson and has reached out to a few other higher portal guards who would be intriguing and that we can expect a few more unexpected names to pop up sooner rather than later. Not really that was just me. I or any other poster could have posted the same unspecific generalities as Rabby. He has been dealing in vague easily deniable posts for professional/financial preservation for awhile. -

LOL, as if Flagg was the only known quantity. They can study all they want. Duke is Duke. Basketball factory, elite education, great fanbase, great campus, 522 of 533 weeks in the top 25 since 1996. DDV is attempting to do just what Golden and Kelsey have done and build a "team" not what Rutgers attempted and failed at accomplishing. Your example of Duke surrounding Flagg with "role players" was just wrong. That is more the Lebron Miami Heat model of star players joining forces. Until you have success of a Calipari UK, Williams UNC, or Coach K Duke no amount of studying is going to help create that flow of talent coming in below market cash value. Understand Duke offers much more than just the cash. Until IU offers realistic yearly chances of Final Fours and NBA lottery pick status to suggesting theirs is a repeatable model is laughable. -

Well if you consider Knueppel, Maluach, Proctor and their 4 other 5 star players role players...I agree -

You act like teams pay a player once upon arrival to the program, those 8-10 players currently with teams are still getting paid so it's not much if any different. Fans expecting 3 or 4 of the top 20 portal players are just being unrealistic. Unrealistic on BTB? No way! This team will be built much like UM or UL last season, a lot of names you don't know and will inspire angst with BTBers. It will be up to CDDV to build a cohesive unit. UL most mirrors IU's situation as they had 1 recruit and 13 transfers last season Their leading scorer...77th in the portal from JUM Their leading rebounder...218th in the portal from CU Their leader in assist and steal ... 101st from Wisc Their leader in blocks...274th from Charleston Others to average over 20 min/g ...273rd, 283rd, 309th If IU has that portal class this place will be unvisitable until at least 6-10 gamses into the season. -

After reading that, LOL at those that thought MW was going to actually change to the college b-ball staple of guard oriented small ball after lacking an All American big. -

My team is on the floor. -
- I'm saying no, no annnnnnnnd no.

Nothing confirmed but rumor is that Quinn and Woodson passed down their fleece(ing) jackets to Darian and Tucker.
-
9 games over .500 the last 7 seasons with 1 tourney win and not a ton of NIL. That isn't the same level of program from which IU has been hunting and failing in their search for assistants. IU could probably pull asst from WV equivalent programs. Being an asst at IU will open more doors than being one at WV. The same can not be said about ALA and the like. Their needs to be a reason to move and IU can't offer one over other top 25 programs.
-
Except WV wasn't a a very successful program. Trying to sign guys from ALA or TT is different than going after an asst coach from Vandy, ASU, or Providence.

What complete nonsense. I've changed my opinion from neutral to wanting him just to hear you obsessively b*tch about him all year. -

No strong opinion on whether we get Pack or not, but you want to condemn him for "his" win loss record yet invalidate his 29-8 season because he had players around him. That is more specious than blaming a QB for his W/L record. Oh and he would already be only at best the 3rd best player on a team of, with him, 4 confirmed players so seems like he would be right in his sweet spot, so... -

Just checking in. Have a handful of the top portal players agreed to sign with IU for much less NIL because of the programs success 20+ years ago yet? If not can someone twitter them and tell them to come read this thread so that they can realize that IU is a blue blood program and much bigger deal than those programs that have been successful the last few decades and that BTB fans are not at all delusional, demanding, bipolar fans ? -
Yeah, but my guy is telling me the $5M number is tied to extra performances in offseason Saturday night hoedowns in this jug band. The fans really love seeing one of their own hill people succeed every chance they can.

When did anyone say he wasn't a good coach? -
#2 isn't necessary if you have #3. Would anyone be that sad to see Bryson Tucker leave? Would you want him around a second season if he is unhappy? I would like to see some NIL attached to retention. Like 60% paid in season and a lump 40% if you are the next season roster.
-
That should put to rest any of those posts about how Woodson should be revered for his playing days despite his failures as a HC. He is nothing more than a petty charlatan of a coach that schemed with Buckner to fleece his alma mater and doesn't give two sh*ts about the success of the program moving forward. I would put big money on a wager that his desire is for the next coach to fail miserably.
-
Well there are one or two that could.
