IU could save on recarpeting if he is coming, he will drowned out the cigar stench with stale spilled beer stains in just a few weeks.
-
You obviously haven't watch UF basketball the last few years.
-
The entire coaching office wing is scheduled for recarpeting to get the stogie stench out.

LTFOL Everyone would cream their jeans over Dusty May but Golden is one of the two least inspiring candidates that could be found? You do realize Goldens Gators have beaten the #1 team in the country twice this season, once at home and a complete beatdown of AU on the road? Dusty May may be really good, but the IU grad asst under Knight thing has people stating really silly stuff.

Other than potential money, and I don't see them breaking the bank at IU for either, what would be the incentive? Both schools have great basketball history and access to high level recruits. Never been to UL campus, but Gainesville is a great college town, in a better climate, and no taxes. When UF was down a few years back, they don't draw like bad IU but there is also not the delusional fanbase of IU, so that is a plus. Fans fill the place when they are good. I think to get a younger guy that has it rolling it will be one that has is in place that has known limitations, TJ at ISU or Hoiberg at Neb types. I could see an older guys like Few being interested after years of being great but in a limited situation.

How I'd feel in gifs: Stevens: May: Few: TJ Otz: Cronin: Drew: Beard:

It's crazy how "the he's said no before, he's not coming" crowd choose to ignore all that is known about process that occurred last time and all that has chaged. Details were in place, it wasn't just a "you up?" His agent /wife was misogynisticly insulted as the negotiations were ramping up He was actively coaching the Celtics in season and the Celtics were in th process oftransitioning Danny Ainge out of the front office and they saw Stevens as their top choice. He has now won an NBA championship with the Celtics. He and Tracy had a HS freshman and beginning middle schooler that had never known anything other than Boston since being a toddler. One is now back in Indiana and the other will be a rising junior and much better mentally equipped to deal with a new location. His family voted 3-1 to stay in Boston. Now all of this doesn't mean he takes the job,but those flat out saying they know he won't are either trolling or just using a defense mechanism to avoid feeling jilted again.

Oh really? Was he now? Just eating wings and shootin' the shat with good ol' Cindy blabbering on about Stevens in earshot of everyone. Seems legit.

Has Kathy abducted you? Blink twice if you are safe.

Reads that Chris Beard gets drunk at local bars Asks for proof Provided proof Now states a video of a drunken slurring Chris Beard in a bar, on Christmas Day no less, is not proof that he gets drunk in public. Getting plastered all alone in a bar on Christmas Day. I'm guessing that is a pretty good indicator of a drinking problem.

Here is a question? Say Dolson lines up Stevens. Does he give his buddy, Dusty, a heads up before the announcement to allow him to use the leverage before it is lost?
-
Fat Tuesday and St Patty's day are also reserved for Beard talk.

*Chris Beard just entered the chat.

Aversion to domestic violence Prefer the Men's HC not be glassy eyed at the Blubird. A very good to great basketball coach that can't get a sniff at any storied or even good basketball program. Funny how all these administrations just let him slip through the cracks. Hmmmmm, that doesn't seem to make much sense. When you hear hoof beats don't think zebras.

Good God!!

Alex, I'll take "two things I don't give a sh*t about when selecting the next IU coach for $1000." And, seriously, invoking Hoosier status as a factor in choosing a coach? FFS

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread
iu eyedoc replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Expecting Woodson to man up ever. What's that old expression about the definition of insanity? -
How is May a bigger fish than Cronin? Cronin is in every top 20 list you can find. And comparing Cronin to Crean? That's just silly to put it kindly

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread
iu eyedoc replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Gotta disagree. Dolson and IU cant force Woodson to answer questions and really who gives a sh*t. What did they expect to hear, "Dolson fired me but I am pretending to retire?" I can write his response had he given one, "I am stepping down as IU's HC effective the end of the season. My goal when I got here was to get the program back headed in the right direction , and I have accomplished that goal. We've made multiple tournament appearances and have established a top NIL program that rivals any in college basketball. I informed Scott Dolson earlier this week of my plans to allow him the advantage of preparing for the future. I intend on continuing on coaching these broken hearted fellas and getting them over the hump very soon." OK, maybe not the last sentence. But all that was missed out on was canned BS. -
Yeah, I'm aware. I meant the name in general just seemed like one from the 70's. Poorly worded by me.
-
When I here the name Dusty May, the name reminds me of a 70's female hippie folk singer or a stripper.
-
May's answer yesterday was almost an admission of interest/yearning. Reporter: Any interest in the IU job? Dusty: It's flattering, it's crazy, I love being at UM, this place is my foundation, but I'm happy at Mich. Reporter: Is there anything you can say to Mich fans that are worried? Dusty: There is nothing I can say, hasn't crossed my mind other than what friends and family have said. Loved coaching at UM IU is my foundation Friends and family Those sound like talking points from a resignation from UM taking IU job speech.

So are you saying WestCon HC with is his "Guy?"
-
If that is true, I don't see "his guy" being anyone other than Stevens or May. Beard, Cronin, Drew, TJ Otz, Pearl would all be great/good get guys, but not "his guy." And to have "his guy" would imply a lot of communication and near finalization. That seems highly unlikely to have already happened with May, unless Dolson is a ninja AD. So that leaves Stevens. Will it happen? I am in the fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, you got my gullible azz, damn you're cruel camp. So in short Welcome Coach Stevens
