IUBB vs #13/12 Ohio State - 01/06/22 @ 7:00 on FS1

Some guys are just wired differently. It's an ability just like physical attributes. Yogi was a guy that got everything and more out of his ability. He is kinda Dane Fife-y as well. -

The PSU game was tough to swallow but realize it was a game where IU shot it's 2nd worst fg %, 3rd worst 3PT%, and PSU shot it's best 3PT % of the season, against some well defended 3's. For an IU team that is playing excellent defense, it was just one of those nights. PU lost under similar circumstances against Rutgers and is 1-2 in the B1G. The B1G is going to be battle all season, I think IU is going to end up being a high second tier team in the conference by seasons end. -

What hasn't been discussed is that IU shot 83.3% on FT's and had 9 TO's. Fundamental BB is fun to watch. IU has had a total of 1 game since 2015-16 where they shot 80%+ on FT's and under 10 TO's, 1-11-19 vs Maryland. This team is growing and when they first learn to walk they will fall a lot, but eventually, they will get coordinated and learn to dance. -

Trying to figure out how a Hoosier fan watches this game, logs into a Hoosier message board, and thinks you know what, I really need to discuss this OSU kids uninformed tweet about the greatness of AH. I mean WTF. -

I have been a critic of RP, but if seems like you are just reading the box score. RP came in in the 2nd half for a poor shooting, bad defense, foul machine in Parker Stewart and was nails late. He tied up Lidell twice for jump balls which led to a possession arrow flip and then a change of possession ( steal) with 4:18 to play that was critical to keeping the momentum. It was, actually the Race T dunk after that play, putting them up by 13, that I actually felt OSU was done. RP has had plenty of not pretty games, but last night was not one of them. He will never be a great shooter, but as long as he limits his shooting to keeping the defense honest, plays lock down D, and doesn't turn the ball over( If I never see him drive the baseline, jump in the air, and then try and figure out where he is going to pass the ball, it will be too soon) he will be just fine. -
This is a problem. Up 22: Choking away a 22 point lead:

Nebraska at Indiana Game Thread - Noon on BTN

So when do you suggest you put in a player that is a liability in a close game, just to stroke his ego? I would rather beat Nebraska then have them lose just to calm Lander's feels. -

What do you mean? Lander has had that game repeatedly. His career verage is barely above that, has just North of a 1:1 A:T ratio, and is not the defender Rob is. I would much prefer Lander, or anyone, to make Rob a DNP, but fact is he hasn't shown anything to show he is a better alternative. If he is a 3 star recruit, no one is even mentioning his name. A lot of hand wringing over a PG that is below average in every aspect of the game based on his recruiting ranking. -

I get wanting some KL PT, but I am going to trust what Woodson, Fife, etal see in practice that warrants the DNP. They are acutely aware of the risks of him transferring. A 5 star recruit not playing is getting the DNP for a reason, we just are not privy to it. Worse would be playing a guy the other players know is undeserving just due to recruiting status. -

Damn, I missed the first half. Came here to see what happened and find that a bunch of 14 year old girls have hijacked the site. -
TJD is TJD Race Thompson has taken it to the next level. JG looks like he could develop into an VO or OG type monster. Bates quickly showing that he will influence the season. XJ is a real PG that IU has lacked for since... Kopp seems to be getting more comfortable Things to not like so far: Continuing to leave 4-6 points at the FT line vs just being average. It will bite this team in the @$$ eventually. No depth behind XJ at PG On that same note, Rob P. I just don't get it with him, as a freshman he looked so promising and has regressed since. He is like the Benjamin Buttons of college basketball careers. On that same note, part 2. KL not seizing the opportunity presented TO' s still are a problem. What you got?

Not sure what you aren't seeing, the guy, for no reason, shoves TJD in the back with his left arm causing him to fall forward. -

(2021) PG Khristian Lander to Western Kentucky U.

With a 1:1 A:TO ratio as a PG, not sure KL's decision making can be trusted. The look a little dry to me. -
That's just until he comes to IU as a preferred walk on with his parents paying his tuition.

Maybe their pay wall would be more profitable if you had to pay to not see some of the content.

Well, if you consider shacking up with one of your player's moms while you are coaching him in high school, the amazing coincidence of getting a job at the exact same college he commits to, and being fired 5 days after he enters the transfer portal as odd, then sure. But given enough time a monkey sitting at a typewriter will eventually type the complete works of William Shakespeare. Does that seem odd?

Haven't heard, what's odd about his situation?

Tre Mitchell come ooooooooon dooown!

Reminds me of a few years back, these older guys were playing slowly in front of us, one guy looked about 90. After a bunker shot he fell down trying to climb out, his friends just looked at him wallow around a bit until he managed to get up. I couldn't help but laugh, but by doing so felt myself a little closer to hell...it was worth it.

Coach Tony's dive into the 4-out, 1-in, offense...Excellent!

Watching the IU guards just standing around was infuriating last season, watching it in relation to a team like Nova moving is all the indictment of CAM needed to justify his firing. Mind boggling that a team would be taught to be so complacent. That said, I really hope we have someone working on the team shooting because no one was guarding IU guards close enough to create spacing last year, largely due to horrendous outside shooting. We all see the guys acquired/available next season and the chance to be special, but it is going to come down to better shooting.
