Why are we debating McDermott and TJO when Brad Stevens has already agreed to be IU's next coach? Well, that is what has happened in my mind.
-
So he would be more of a lateral move from MW?
-
Anyone know what Arthur Schabinger is up to?
-
I think lower resolution may have been a better call.
-
I have no issues with Drew, but saying any human is only worth sticking up for if they offer you value is pretty f'ed up.
-
So you're saying if a plane from Bloomington were to go where GCU is playing its first round tourney game, there is a good chance it is to see a vacationing Scott Drew, there to watch his brother in the field of 64?
-
Do you mean Pflorida?
-
Were you sitting?
-
I guess Dust May to IU was never meant 2B.
-
Lets just call him 1C and the rest 1D,1E,1F,1G. Then IU can say they got their #1 guy.
-
Didn't 1B just sign a 1 yr extension? Or has 1B been 86ed and 2A is now 1B? And who the hell was 2A?
-
So your saying Mike Woodson isn't coming back?
-
Imaging Dusty May being like, "Hey we've been a perennial underachieving bubble team. I've done my job. " LMAO

I have a theory: @IsaacTor works for BTB and has a performance report is due at noon Monday morning.

Rabby madly scrambling to update his hot board as we speak.

Is this one of those things where you tell someone something nice before them horrible news? Or is this C(K)athy with a new bizzarro process? Oh and could anything be more divisive than a minute more of MW after seasons end?
-
Pros and Cons of Brad Stevenson not being announced as IU's HC in waiting Sunday March 2 3 pm foxsports. Pros: @Chris007 gets proper rests for an amazing week of work Con: Absolutely everything else happening on the entire planet.
-
Real question, where have you heard those whispers and discussions?
-
Unless, you believe SD is as fickle as a 13yo girl about her favorite boy band and gossips like one too, an ever changing hot board is just a ranking of internet rumors clickbait.

But you stated, "The experiment of bringing guys in from the pros to coach in college has proven to be a disaster almost across the board," which completely ignores that: 1) He has already been a successful college coach. 2)He was a highly successful NBA coach. 3) He has experience as a GM which is becoming much more relevant than ever before. If you want the most similar comps of successful college guys to go to the NBA and back to college that would be Kelvin Sampson, John Calapari, Larry Brown, Rick Pitino, and Fred Hoiberg, Lon Kruger, Mike Montgomery. Every single one of them came back and had as much or greater success than historically typical at their university. Oh and of those coaches, none were remotely as successful at the NBA level as Stevens. So either you were trolling or wholly unaware of how college to NBA and back to college coaches have fared.

He also referenced their RPI and Sagarin ranking the last 3 yrs. Well at least I think he did.

Agreed. If they don't hire a seasoned college basketball GM this will be a disaster.
