To act as if Bubba Cunningham being the tourney chair had no effect on UNC getting in is laughable. -

Crazy seeing PU with 11 losses and Arizona with 12 get No. 4 seeds. I still remember the year of our Kelvin Sampson fiasco -- we had the resume of a No. 4 or 5 seed (25-7 record) and they gave us a No. 8. That was the NCAA totally sticking it to us. -

The 11-loss Toiletmakers are a No. 4 seed? Dayum. -
There have been 27 B1G tournaments. We have played in exactly one title game, which we did not win. Dusty May -- an IU graduate -- has coached in one B1G tournament. He was won one B1G tournament.

Duke wins their tourney semifinal and final without the nation's best player. They good.

This Big East game was a wing-dinger -- until St. John's decided to really, really turn up the heat.

Norfolk State women make it a double dose of March Madness. The join the Spartans men in the NCAAs with a win in the MEAC title game. They get to be a No. 16 seed. This actually is a pretty good low-major team, though. They're 29-4, went 14-0 in league play and 3-0 in the tourney. Go Spartans! -

Yep. If you believe KathyC and the dudes from that infamous podcast, it was very petty, too. Because Archie got four years, Buckner demanded that his buddy Woodson get four years. And though the on-court results weren't completely terrible at that point (after three seasons) -- there were plenty of other indicators that Woody was not right for the job. Bucker and his rich friends' egos helped IU screw the pooch on that one. -

Fixed it for you. I know -- I'm splitting hairs, but still ... Also, he had one year at FAU beyond the Final Four run before taking the Michigan gig. -
Spartans are dancing. Tried to blow it, but NSU hangs on for the 66-65 win. Crazy finish.
-
Oy-vey. My Spartans are imploding. Lead down to 3 with 43 seconds to go. NSU kid just dribbled it off his foot, leading to a turnover and bucket by S.C. State.
-
Norfolk State up 8 on S.C. State in MEAC title game with 1:35 to go -- for the right to be a No. 16 seed. NSU is about 15 minues from me.

TKR gave Goldin a cheap, hard, intentional bump before they got hooked up. Guess Hummel missed that ...

One of my favorite moments from this lost IU season was when the Toiletmakers' little Amish point guard was doing all that gratuitous dribbling between his legs, and Myles Rice just took it away and made an easy layup. Loved it.

A missed FT, then a lane violation. Oh ... bless those Tar Heels' poor little hearts.
