My Cubs fandom taught me the virtue of patience and has helped me cope with the last 20 years of IU basketball. -

I watched the post game presser and there were no questions about IU. Brad definitely had different body language than the pre game presser and much more eye contact. -

Disappointing. How many Final Fours has he been to? I really think the board should of hired an IU guy. He is just a fan that will cannibalize this board. Jay Bilas agrees with me. -

What gave it away, the fact that he has a show called “My bracket is better than your bracket”? -

As long as he isn’t the guy making the boiler for the train, I am on board. -

I think Jay is scared of Indiana getting Brad Stevens and perennially whooping some Duke @$$. -

Person: "So you are not quitting your Celtics job to go coach at Indiana." Brad: "I am not". (Hang's up phone). "I guess I probably should have told them that I spoke with Danny and we both agreed to part ways after the season. Oh well, they asked about quitting and not about a mutual agreement." Tracey: "Well played, Brad, you could be an attorney. I guess you will just have to settle for being an Indiana coaching legend." -

After that Jay Bilas can run his mouth about how Boston fans are cannibalizing the program. -

Or maybe it wasn't a gerbil that was powering HSN all along. Maybe it was Tom Crean's incessant Diet Coke fueled pacing, and then Archie Miller's nose picking and gum chewing that were powering the servers. That would explain why people were lobbying for them to stay and also explain why the servers go down after they are fired. Now all HSN has to rely on for a power source is the hot air that spews from Dan Dakich's mouth. And while that is an abundant source of energy, it is not terribly reliable since he is constantly changing his position. Can anyone confirm this conspiracy? -

If you would have asked me 3 months ago I would have agreed with you, but Dolson seems hellbent on restoring IU basketball to glory. He ponied up the cash for Tom Allen, maybe he is willing to break the bank for Brad Stevens. I think it is funny how quickly the conversation changed from Dolson being a whipped little puppet of the administration to now having bigger stones than Mt. Everest. -

Just to be clear, is Dolson willing to make Stevens the highest paid coach in sports in the world? In the US? In college athletics? Or in college basketball? Because that is a pretty large range. World - Diego Simeone ~$49M. US - Belichick - rumored to be ~$20M. College athletics - Saban ~$9.3M. College basketball - Calipari ~$8.1M. -

I 100% believe this is true. Let me break some more news for you. Indiana has not yet reached out to Stevens, Matta, Beilein, or any other coach, but I bet that IU has reached out to their agents or representatives. I don't know if this is just someone being cute with the words they are using, but not reaching out to them is different than not reaching out to their reps. -
Okay, forget about tracking flights from Bloomington to Boston. Is there any way to track Brinks trucks instead?

Chris007, do you know if IU even talked to Brad in 2017? I have heard that Fred Glass kinda zeroed in on Archie from the beginning and we didn't really consider anyone else. Is that true?

If we are bringing back a former coach, let's go get Sampson. Is it a NCAA violation for me to text him to see if he is interested? -

I am actually assuming it is because they don't have cell phone service in Waco and he has been too busy building a winning program to stand by a pay phone waiting for a call from another team. -

Have you ever been to Waco, TX? It is the place where hope went to die. They can't fill a 7,000 seat arena when they are a tournament team. They have more pay phones per capita than basketball fans. I am not even joking, Waco still has pay phones. When is the last time you actually saw a pay phone. The question isn't why would he want to leave, the question is why would he want to stay. -
