Race Thompson was on campus yesterday with his mom and dad. I think he will be one of our recruits we get in the 18 class. First of many recruits to visit this summer.

Junior years for Davis, Jones and Green, plus senior year for Morgan should make us be fine with the freshman this year becoming sophs. I think we will get top 100 kids just not maybe a top 25 kid.

I agree I think the kids today want to see a coach win a few games before they start wanting to go play for him. So I think the 2019 class will be much bigger and better.

If we can get him on campus this summer I think we can be back in the thick of things.

I'm scared to think that IU might be in 3rd place for Garland. I think Duke is his leader and Vandy being second. His mom works there and his best friend just signed on to play football there. I like your list but I think you should replace Phinnese instead of Garland and add Thompson somewhere in there.

Cole Swider released his top 4 and we are not in it. Also Michigan St. is now back on the radar for Johns but I think we still lead for him. Race Thompson & Darius Bazley both should be in Bloomington this month for a visit.

The staff worked him out and didn't think he was IU level so he never got an offer.

There was something like that but nothing to do with Archie. I think it ended up being a huge personal injury case or something like that.

I'm not sure that MSU are real big on him yet but he seems to really like IU.

I've been with the university for 17 years and have made several friends/contacts. I was able to work for the basketball program in a small way the last few years & hoping to continue that with Archie. I used to be on other boards but joined all of them during the search and found that I enjoyed this one the most. Also all of my family have worked with the athletic program in some way or another for many years. Hope that answers, if not you can send me a message & I would be happy to say more.

I'm not nearly as good with recruiting as I am with other stuff inside the program. Hard to tell what 18 year old kids are going to do.

A name not on the list that should be is Brandon Johns & he might be our first commit. Garland & Swider are both first priorities but both also have already visited Duke. If we don't get Garland, then Phinisee will be the next option. I just don't think we will ever offer Hunter just because we will get one of are other PG's. Anderson is on the rise and as I said Jallow is declining. Now everything might change by next month.

Yes will be an incoming freshman at Forest Park. He shoots it extremely well. I believe he is about 6'6 already.

I'm just going off of Hopkins & Archie has a lot better relationship with him than Ewing & whoever the coach at BC is. That's why I think it is us or them. I do agree that Moretti might pick a school before we have offer him. He has good choices in UCONN & Utah not so much TT but maybe.

All of this is just my opinion of course but we have never offered Moretti as of today who is visiting Utah. Carter is visiting Washington, who does have an offer from us. So just on that process we like Carter better but if he goes with Mike Hopkins & Washington I think we might offer Moretti if he is still available. If neither happens we bank it for next year. Carter is first choice & I think he wants to stay in 17 class so it is either us or Washington.

Except for Carter or the Italian if we would happen to sign one of them

Totally agree I believe they only have 7 scholarship players right now for next year.

I'm not kidding. The competition on that AAU circuit is not nearly as good as the Nike or Adidas. Whenever he has played in front of IU coaches he has not played well this summer. I hope I'm wrong because I think he could be a good 4 year player but he has fallen down the list of players we are contacting on a daily-weekly basis.

He needs to play well tonight to get back into IU's radar. He has not had a good summer at all.

There is a 15 million buyout that I'm pretty sure OSU wouldn't want to pay.

His dad is back on the sidelines with BNL this summer. Will be the varsity assistant there.

All freshman will be on campus by June 13.
