I don't think we should try to compare the IUFB turnaround with this upcoming IUBB season. Remember Cig brought his whole coaching staff and all of his best players. That's not the situation with DDV. Not saying he won't have the same success but he's not starting on at least second base like Cig was.

After playing golf all weekend, I should reopen my commitment to basketball. I'm pretty sure I can still shoot it. I can't get my shot off very quickly, can't jump very high, not going to guard anyone, will get tired fast, probably foul a lot, but if I'm open, it's money. Plus I can be had for a cheap NIL deal.

But aren't the dates different this year? Also, with revenue sharing, more teams have more NIL to work with than years past, so not sure we can compare the years. Also, maybe those three teams were the outliers and not the norm. I hope you're correct, but I will say from what I have heard the staff thought they would be a little farther along than they are so far. No panic so far, but ready to get some players.

I love Kenny Johnson hire. He has a lot of contacts, has a lot of good relationships with AAU and high school coaches. He was also a friend last time he was here. Our kids were friends and played sports together.

Haha. I met him one time at the Addidas classic in Bloomington. I was officiating and he was coaching his son’s Carmel AAU team. He introduced himself as Steve Risley member of the 81 National Championship team. Then he wanted every call the rest of the game. So yeah he probably heard more than that was said.

Eric and Rabby said, after talking to some other former players it sounds like Risley was the only one who heard 4-5 more players by the end of the week. So I doubt that happens

We had a lot of people say the same thing last year. Blind trust is never the answer. It's ok to say I'm not sure that piece fits and then later on come back and say I see what coach was doing with this guy now. I think with the roster he's going to put together, there will be a lot of guys we just don't know a lot about. But he has full trust, just not blind loyalty.

I'm going golfing for the next two days. But I heard that Murphy is still on the table as of last night. But there is a date to decide. Other than that have no idea of the names of assistants.
