To be able to recruit in college athletics you have to be somewhat of an ultimate salesman, but I also get the sense that the way he treats players who aren't his favorites, his track record of creaning and even the whole Matt Roth scenario play in to inability to manage a roster- again just my two cents but he's in over his head Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Basically he said that Crean was the ultimate sales person and absolutely played favorites. He said a few players loved him but that most of them just didn't fully trust him once the recruiting process is ended. Another small piece from my convo with him I found interesting that the team were pretty excited about the tourney obviously and being a number one seed, but that he stated Syracuse was the absolute last team he wanted to see in their bracket. Once Crean is fired and our new coach hits the ground running in recruiting- what types of players- similar or different would you want coming in? I'd love to start to brining in some more powerful, stronger forwards and post players. Would also love to de-emphasize the need for 10 6'6 wing players. One thing I'm really looking forward to is getting back to the basics on defense- which has been non existent for nine years. I've really grown to appreciate teams who buy into playing tenacious D.
