Ahh. ....so how is this relevant again?
-
I truthfully have no clue what she does for a living. What does she do?
-
Blackmon is essentially from Fort Wayne. Moved to Marion his junior or senior year (can't remember which)
-
Not exactly my point. More like root for an ending tonight so the lame soap opera and rumors will be close to ending, or at least draw closer to ending. I can't be the only one thinking this.
-
My thoughts weren't even really directed at you, per say. So I apologize if you were annoyed. I think we can all agree that storylines have become out of control. One thing is for sure: IU has a lot of unnamed sources.
-
Where have you seen this? All I've seen is nothing but speculation at the very most. This is exactly why we should all be hoping the season ends tonight. The entire storyline has become one giant phone game. One person says "Tom Crean is interested in Missouri." Ten people later, it gets twisted into "Tom Crean bought interest in a company called Miss Who." This entire thing has gone so far beyond lame at this point, it's ridiculous.
-
I've tried to process that #1 in my head multiple times and I can't - It makes absolutely no sense to me. He shouldn't be fired, but he doesn't understand why they want to stay in the marriage? What the hell does that even mean? It can't be both.
-
People truly need to step back and try to use their negotiation heads a little bit. My goodness, think rationally. Until these numbers become public, the AD, Crean, and Joani would likely be the only three who knew these exact specifics. Probably nobody else outside of those three. What if Cuonzo found out what the AD offered Crean? What if Crean found out what the AD offered Cuonzo?
-
Where are people hearing/seeing this $1.5 million? I find it extremely hard to believe those numbers were leaked.
-
Two things about that HickoryHoosier thing: The options aren't running dry. It's March 13. At some point Crean would have to realize he has to put his name in more than just the NC State/Missouri pool. Secondly, I don't believe for a second that players/staff wouldn't make the trip to Atlanta.
-
Have to disagree with that. Crean would be eaten alive by K and Roy with recruiting.
-
Every second IU is still alive in this tournament, is a reminder to the world that we aren't in the tournament that matters. End of story.
-
Lies. Sinatra and Dean Martin would be the assistant coaches. Nat King Cole the director of basketball operations.
-
Not all buttons are a RickyIU endorsement. Our beloved son Steve isn't even on my list, but I believe he's on other people's lists.
-
Oh hey guys, it's due time: I made some coaching campaign buttons. Enjoy.

I don't think that was the vote of confidence article I remember. There was another one later on when Glass said IU isn't okay with NITs.
-
While what you say would make sense, we have to remember that Glass took his sweet ol time to give Crean a vote of confidence 2 years ago. In fact, wasn't it numerous days AFTER we didn't get an invite to the NIT?
-
"Indiana athletic director Fred Glass should take the long view, not just react to a single season." That's the very reason IU fans, and maybe even Glass, are done with Crean! Why is that so hard to understand? These national writers need to realize that this year's failure is just one piece of the entire spectrum. Tom Crean is about to miss the tournament for the 2nd time in four years. Tom Crean is an awful in-game adjuster. Tom Crean's teams, except for a couple seasons, have been terrible on defense. Tom Crean's teams turn the ball over at a disgusting rate. Tom Crean has never made it PAST the sweet 16 as IU's head coach. Tom Crean OVERRECRUITS. Tom Crean schedules cupcakes. Tom Crean has lost the trust of Indiana high school coaches. The list goes on. National writers, you are so out of touch it's not even funny.

I think it can be said that even if the Illinois job doesn't open up this year, it could still keep Cuonzo from making that jump to Missouri. That Illinois job is a ticking time bomb - If it doesn't open up this year, it very easily could open up next year. I'd venture to say it's a safe assumption that Cuonzo wants to be in the Big Ten.
-
If by losing interest you mean not a single person cares about tomorrow's game, then yeah, i'd say we're losing interest. Simply put, we're all in coaching search mode now. A Big Ten tournament game is the last thing we care about. In fact, I'd venture to say many if not most are hoping for a loss so that the coaching search ball can keep rolling.

This reminds me: Any of y'all ever been to Charlottesville? That city and that campus are awesome. i get it: Bloomington is incredible too, but I bet it'd be tough to leave C-Ville.
-
I would only be comfortable with this idea if Jeff Capel already had a few successful head coaching years at Duke. Until that Duke position is filled, I'm not touching Collins. IU desperately needs a stable hire.
-
Who from Scout wrote that? Two years ago Peegs wouldn't even let people mention coaches' names. Now he's writing articles about them? Thats a little telling to me.
-
Dear Yogi, Thank you for keeping my job alive for a year. Love, Tom Crean
-
Glass didn't hire Crean.
