There are only 4 options i.m.o. if an announcement is made this week. In no particular order: Donovan Bennett A. Miller Marshall With that said, my money would be on Bennett. However, I'm still holding out hope for Donovan.

I think you share that sentiment with many posters/lurkers on the board. At least all of us who are not concerned with one Tourney loss where one of his worst teams in years failed to eclipse 40 points.

All I know is I'm confident that someone is getting hired and it'll be announced sooner than later. This is all my personal speculation, but the timing of rumors and hiring of a search firm lead me to believe the contracts are near complete/completed.

Thanks for the share. I've read these boards for a long time, mostly the recruiting threads before I stumbled on the FTC thread. You've always seemed to post what was relevant and worthwhile. I can't say the same for 247 boards and am inclined to believe what you're posting. I appreciate the insight and perspective to the situation laid out and hope that there is legitimate interest from the Donovan camp.

I refuse to believe that Glass is hitching his wagon to Alford and this makes sense if you consider how everything went down this morning. I think this plays a large role in what we are now hearing. I.M.O. BD is trying to keep his team united and make a postseason run (as any coach would be doing). He is still under contract with OKC and would not anything disrupting the locker room currently. Maybe I'm over-optimistic, but I'd rather be that then trying to justify the alternative.

I'm convinced everything that transpired this morning was an effort to quiet the "rumors" that are floating regarding BD. Be patient friends. Where there is smoke...

Kent Sterling in the Fife corner for those that feel he's a good source. Not saying he thinks he's coming, just that he thinks he may be the best hire.

I don't know if Wilkes would leave UCLA with Alford. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but a huge part of Alford's pitch was networking with local NBA talent.

This seems fishy to me. Trying to keep the boards alive and drive more traffic? maybe? I just don't feel that his sources are as reliable as he's lead on.
